<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of May 4, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Dan Fenn, Joann Gschwendtner, and Lynn <br />Hopkins; Associate Commissioners: Eleanor MacQueen and Jeff Denzak. <br /> <br />Joe Marino introduced himself and the Economic Development Officer and discussed with the <br />Commissioners what his job is and what he is plans are for the future. <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />1734 Mass. Avenue - Artinian Jewelers - <br />Petition for two exterior signs showing services was <br />denied. Artinian will consider hanging a sign on the interior. Certificate No. 2000C-50 <br /> <br />1099 Mass. Avenue <br /> - Wendy Strothman received approval to repaint her home Benjamin Moore <br />Hawthorne Yellow; trim Navaho White and door blue (HC158). Certificate No. 2000C-35 <br /> <br />1749 Mass. Avenue - Peet's Coffee and Tea - <br />Jerry Wyman was denied his request for a blade <br />sign and larger front sign. Commission agreed to Peet's request for two (2) 8"x8" Peet's logo <br />sign on bottom of angled glass doorway. <br /> <br />One Oakland Street - <br />Janet Tiampo received approval cedar lattice work added to back fence <br />and put sand around play set; add fieldstone pavers to side yard; change blue stone patio to grass <br />with blue stone border. Continued for screen door color; fencing in front; and blue stone stones <br />in front yard. Certificate No. 2000C-37 <br /> <br />905 Mass. Avenue <br />- Jack Shay received approval for new foundation on front, reroofing and <br />reclapboard front; replacement of windows on sides with Norco and repair of front windows. <br />Continued for detail. Certificate No. 2000C-38 <br /> <br />1116 Mass. Avenue - <br />Randall Conrad and Christine Dall received approval to replace two (2) <br />twin unit windows on left of house with Brosco windows to match existing on house. Certificate <br />No. 2000C-39 <br /> <br />1994 Mass. Avenue <br /> - Joyce Roetter presented plans for an addition to rear of home. Continued <br />for detail. <br /> <br />72 Waltham Street - <br />Eric and Kim Zanin received approval for a 42" fence for all but around <br />the driveway. Continued for driveway fencing and front door. Vote 4-1 with Ms. Gschwendter <br />opposing. Certificate No. 2000C-40 <br /> <br />1984 Mass. Avenue - <br />Cynthia Davidson received approval for a playset for a 10-year period in a <br />location acceptable to the Roetter at 1994 Mass. Avenue.
