Follow-up with organizations not responding or not yet contacted <br />D. Funding - Budget line request for next fiscal year. <br />E. Other Business <br /> <br />UPDATES: <br />Jane Hundley, K-5 Social Studies Coordinator, Lexington Public Schools, has expressed <br />th <br />interest in membership to the Lexington 300 and is awaiting Board of Selectmen <br />appointment. <br /> <br />1.Corporation Documents – Attorney Alan Wrigley continues to prepare documents. <br />st <br /> <br />2.Review of September 21 community meeting – subcommittees to be identified. <br /> <br />a.Eric Carlson encouraged inclusion of people who can expect to participate in a <br />celebration in 50 years time – and need to include the young people. <br /> <br />3.Responses to Mailings – <br /> <br />a.Lexington Pops Chorus – Commissioning a composition and plans concerts <br />for Jan. 18 & 19, 2013 <br /> <br />b.Discussion on receiving additional proposals –how to approval and evaluation <br />proposals received and from whom might they be sought <br /> <br />4.Logo Competition – <br /> <br />a.Dick Kollen has contacted Sean Hagan, K-12 Coordinator, Fine Arts <br />Department, Lexington Public Schools, and will formalize the request for the <br />competition to be handled by the Fine Arts Department. <br /> <br />b.Eric Carlson mentioned the elimination of the minuteman figure from the <br />‘town seal’ as was original seal – farmer in colonial clothing, not the <br />battle/statue. <br /> <br />c.Mary Gillespie reminded all we must reach out to home-schooled youth and <br />others not at Lexington High School. <br /> <br />d.Jessie Steigerwald suggested ‘Facebook’ as mechanism for communicating. <br /> <br />e.Logo Competition Flyer and Outreach to Colonial Times, Lexington <br />Minuteman and Boston Globe NW, and Lex Media cable TV needs to be <br />made. Dick Kollen will begin drafting flyer for all to review. <br /> <br />f.Web Site Management – Van Seasholes suggested link from current web site <br />(on municipal server) be made to the Lexington Public Schools web site. <br /> <br />
