El Lexington Council for the Arts <br /> Meeting Minutes (Approved on 1/11/2021) <br /> Monday, December 7, 2020 <br /> 7:00 PM— 8:30 PM <br /> Location: Via Zoom: See below for remote participation instructions <br /> Facilitator: Stephen Poltorzycki <br /> Recording Secretary: Jillian Tung <br /> Pre Meeting Tasks <br /> Review of minutes from November 2, 2020 meeting <br /> Attendance: <br /> Present: Stephen Poltorzycki, Jillian Tung, Shalini Kakar, Hema Gandhi, Doug <br /> Urban, Melissa Talal <br /> Absent: none <br /> Guests: none <br /> Meeting start time: 7:02 pm <br /> I. Call to order <br /> II. Approval of November 2, 2020 meeting minutes: Steve Poltozycki <br /> A. Minutes were approved as amended. <br /> III. Update on finances: Steve Poltorzycki, Hema Gandhi, Doug Urban <br /> A. Team will assess how much of the state funds are unencumbered (not <br /> already earmarked for the grants). <br /> B. Difference between what we have and what is encumbered could <br /> potentially be used to fund new projects. <br /> C. $1500 remains from the FY2020 state fund, which will automatically be <br /> used to fund FY2021 grants. <br /> D. Currently, local fund amounts to $2813; $2952 encumbered by grants <br /> already awarded. <br /> E. Stephen Poltorzycki proposed the following: " LCA will not make any <br /> local funds available for grant awarding FY2021" The motion seconded <br /> by Doug Urban, and approved with unanimous approval of the Council. <br /> IV. Update on Go Out Doors public art project: Steve Poltorzycki <br /> A. Exhibit will be dismantled prior to the next major storm. <br /> B. Steve will ask Cristina Burwell about storing doors at the Munroe Center <br /> over the winter. <br /> C. Council will need to decide when and where they are re-installed in the <br /> spring. <br />
