AD . 1839 . Records . of the Town of Lexington, " darrant Feb® 18 . To Jonas M . Muzzey , Constable of the town of Lexington Greeting ; You are hereby required in the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts , to notify & warn the inhabitants of the town of Lexington9 who are qualified to vote in town affairs , to assemble at the Old Meetinghouse in said town on Monday the fourth day of March next , at nine o t clock A. M. to act on the following articles : viz : Article l . ) To choose a Moderator to presid at said meeting - Art . 2 . ) To choose town officers - Art . 3 . ) To choose School Committee . Art . 4 ® ) To see if the town will authorise the Prudential Committee men to employ the Teachers for the several schools - Arto 5 . ) To grant money for the support of Public Schools for the year ensuingr Art . 6 , ) To adopt measures to collect taxes for the ensuing year - Art . 7 . ) To adopt measures ® to repair Highways the ensuing year & grant money for that purpose - Art . 8 . ) To know if the town will restrain neat cattle , horses & swine from going at large , under the penalties provided by law - Art . . 90 ) To know how the town will support their Poor the ensuing year - Art . 10 ® ) To bring in their votes for a County Treasurer- Art , li ® ) To see if the town will choose Auditors to audit the accounts of the town & of the Trustees of the Ministerial Fund - 2 1839 . Article 12 . ) To see if the town will petition the Legislature to alter the act of Incorporation of the Lexington Ministerial Fund , so as to authorise the Trustees of said Fund , to pay all the Worship- ping Societies in town , their part of the income of said Fund according to their taxes ; or act other- wise on the subject - Art , 13 . ) To see if the town will blaild sheds near Old Meetinghous'e for the accommodation of those that ride to meeting ; or act otherwise on the subject - r • Art . 14 . ) To see if the town will move the Old Meet- inghouse to some more convenient place ; or act other- wise on the subject -
