69 -455 <br />Selectmen's Meeting <br />August 2, 2016 <br />A meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., in the <br />Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Town Office Building. Ms. Barry, Chairman, Mr. Kelley, Mr. <br />Pato and Ms. Ciccolo; Mr. Valente, Town Manager; and Mr. Addelson, Assistant Town Manager <br />for Finance were present. <br />Selectmen Concerns and Liaison Reports <br />Ms. Barry extended get well wishes on behalf of the Board to Senator Ken Donnelly on his <br />recent surgery. Senator Donnelly is recuperating at home. <br />Approve CPA Grant Agreement - Lexington Arts and Craft Society Lighting Project <br />Following up on a request for more information from the July 25, 2016 Board meeting, Mr. <br />Valente reported that he had spoken with representatives for the Lexington Arts and Crafts <br />Society and the Society has already raised the $12,000 in supplemental funding through private <br />fundraising for the project and that the agreement has been changed to reflect that. <br />Mr. Valente asked the Board to approve and sign the revised grant agreement following 2016 <br />Town Meeting approval of $24,280 to replace lighting in the Parsons Gallery at the Lexington <br />Arts and Crafts Society. The funding will be supplemented by $12,000 in private funding. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted 3 -1 (Mr. Kelley opposed) to Approve and <br />Sign the Grant Agreement between the Town of Lexington and the Lexington Arts and Crafts <br />Society for the replacement of lighting in the Parsons Gallery. <br />Executive Session <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 4 -0 by roll call at 6:03 p.m., to go into <br />Executive Session under Exemption 6 to consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real <br />property, 171 -173 Bedford Street and to reconvene in open session only to adjourn. Further, the <br />Chairman declared that an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating <br />position of the Town. <br />A true record; Attest: <br />Suzanne E.
