WARRANT FOR STATE PRIMARY <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middlesex, ss® <br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said County, <br /> Greeting: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify <br /> and warn the inhabitants of said Town who are qualified to vote in <br /> Primaries to meet in Adams School, East Lexington, (Precinct One) , and <br /> Cary Memorial Building, Lexington Center, (Precincts Two, Three and Four) <br /> on <br /> TUESDAY, THE SIXTEENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1952 <br /> at 8: 00 o'clock A. M. , for the following purposes: <br /> To bring in their votes to the Primary Officers for the Nomination <br /> of Candidates of Political Parties for the following offices: <br /> Governor for this Commonwealth <br /> Lieutenant Governor for this Commonwealth <br /> Secretary of the Commonwealth for this Commonwealth <br /> Treasurer and Receiver-General for this Commonwealth <br /> Auditor of the Commonwealth for this Commonwealth <br /> Attorney General for this Commonwealth <br /> Senator in Congress for this Commonwealth <br /> Representative in Congress for 5th Congressional District <br /> Councillor for 6th Councillor District <br /> Senator for 7th Middlesex Senatorial District <br /> Two Representatives in General Court for 19th Middlesex Representative <br /> District <br /> Clerk of Courts for Middlesex County <br /> Register of Deeds for Southern District <br /> Two County Commissioners for Middlesex County <br /> And you are hereby further required to notify and warn the inhabitants <br /> of said Town who are qualified to vote in Primaries or Elections to meet on <br /> the date and time and in the places aforesaid to bring in their votes on the <br /> following question, as provided in Chapter 620 of the Acts of 1952: <br /> "Shall a declaration be made by popular referendum, pursuant <br /> to the Housing and Rent Act of 1947, as amended, that a sub- <br /> stantial shortage of housing accommodations exists which re- <br /> quires the continuance of federal rent control in this town <br /> after September thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fifty-two until <br /> the close of April thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, <br /> in accordance with the provisions of said Act?" <br /> YES <br /> NO <br /> The polls will be open from 8:00 A. M. until 8: 00 P. M. <br /> And you are directed to serve this Warrant seven days at least before <br /> the time of said meeting as provided in the By-laws of the Town. <br /> Hereof fail not and make return of this Warrant with your doings thereon <br /> to the Town Clerk, on or before the time of said meeting. <br />
