Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middlesex, ss. <br /> To any of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said County, <br /> Greetings: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed to notify <br /> the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington qualified to vote in elections and <br /> in Town affairs to meet in Cary Memorial Hall, in said Town on Monday, the <br /> second day of December, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. , at which time and place the follow- <br /> ing articles are to be acted upon and determined exclusively by the Town Meet- <br /> ing Members in accordance with Chapter 215 of the Acts of 1929, as amended, <br /> and subject to the referendum provided for by Section eight of said Chapter, <br /> as amended. <br /> ARTICLE 1 REPORTS OF TOWN BOARDS, <br /> OFFICERS, COMMITTEES <br /> To receive the reports of any Board or Town Officer or of any Committee <br /> of the Town. <br /> ARTICLE 2 EDUCATION STATUTE <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Section 13 of <br /> Chapter 188 of the Acts of 1985 relating to a professional development grant <br /> program for supplementing teacher compensations; or act in any other manner in <br /> relations thereto. <br /> (Inserted at the request of the School Committees <br /> of the Town and the Minuteman District) <br /> ARTICLE 3 MOTEL/HOTEL TAX STATUTE <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept Section 3A of Chapter 64G of the <br /> General Laws relating to the imposition of a local excise tax upon the transfer <br /> of occupancy of any room or rooms in a hotel, lodging house, or motel located <br /> in the Town; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selectmen) <br /> ARTICLE 4 SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATIONS <br /> To see if the Town will make supplementary appropriations, to be used in <br /> conjunction with money appropriated under Article 26 of the warrant for the <br /> 1985 Annual Town Meeting, to be used during the current fiscal year and deter- <br /> mine whether the money shall be provided by transfer from available funds; or <br /> act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selectmen) r--- �n <br /> ccn <br /> zc o �. <br /> cr <br /> is <br /> - <br /> r <br /> CO <br />
