Lexington Council for the Arts <br />Minutes Notes <br />Wednesday, October 5, 2022 <br />7:00 PM– 8:30 PM <br />Location: Via Zoom. See below for remote participation instr uctions <br />Pre-Meeting Tasks <br />Review of draft minutes from September 12, 2022 meeting : No quorum <br />Attendance: <br />Present: Steve Poltorzycki, Ashley Rooney, Anwell Tsai, Shalini Kakar, <br />Marie Hewes <br />Absent: David hoose, Jessie Chen, Lisa Herbert, Doug Urban <br />Guests: Doug Lucente, Elizabeth Xu, <br />Recording Secretary: Marie Hewes <br />Meeting start time: <br />•Call to order 7:07 <br />Secretar y’s repor t - postponed <br />Treasurer’s repor t <br />MCC: $6,294. (Fully earmarked for the grantees). <br />Only 8 of the Grantees have completed the documentation, so reminders have to be <br />sent to the others. <br />Town account:$ 4,354 Around $ 300 will be absorbed by Discovery Day ( Canopy <br />and miscellaneous ) <br />We will have $4,000 left for projects. <br />Local account:$4,744 <br />❖Steve applied for a MCC grant and we are optimistic to get around $5,000.❖ <br />There is another grant available that opens in October for $2,500 and we will <br />apply for that grant too. Finally there is potentially some money from the town <br />that we may qualify for. The Town received $ 9.9 million. The board has been very <br />stringent about its use. That money can only be used for Pandemic Recovery. The <br />town has turned down many requests. <br />Applications for that money should be directed ( in writing) to the Town <br />Manager with a copy to the Select Board ( Doug Lucente) <br />Project : Dance around the world : <br />Ashley and Elsie ( Co-Chair) <br />Date : March 16th <br />Place : lexington high school Gym
