MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE APPROPRIATION CO":TMITTEE <br /> HELD AT THE TOWN OFFICE BUITDING, MONDAY <br /> EVENING, JULY 26, 1943. . . <br /> The meeting was opened in the Town Accountant's office <br /> at 8:00 P.M. , by Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt, with the following members <br /> in attendance : <br /> Lewis L. Hoyt, Chairman <br /> George M. Hynes Richard W. Maynard <br /> Raymond A. Bond Carl E. Bryant <br /> Ronald D. Brown Harvey F. Winlock <br /> Thatcher Jenney Raymond L. White, <br /> Town Accountant <br /> Minutes of the Meeting Held June 7, 1943. <br /> It was regularly moved and voted to dispense with the <br /> reading of the minutes of the regular meeting held June 7, 1943. <br /> 4;44 n:i* *'ii* <br /> Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt read a letter from the Board of <br /> Selectmen where they voted to reduce the automobile allowance of <br /> the Sealer of Weights and Measures from $200.00 per year to ; 150.00 <br /> per year. Mr. Lamont, the present Sealer of Weights and Measures, <br /> was willing to accept this reduction. <br /> Motion was made, seconded and voted to approve this re- <br /> duction in automobile allowance for the Sealer of Weights and <br /> Measures from $200.00 to $150.00 per year. <br /> Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt sp&ke about the bill from the <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts to the Accounting Department for <br /> supplies from February 5, 1943, to March 25, 1943, amounting to <br /> $376.87. The Town Accountant has requested that it be paid from <br /> the Reserve Fund instead of being assessed in the State Tax. After <br /> a general discussion a motion was made, seconded and voted that <br /> a sum not to exceed $400.00 be transferred from the Reserve Fund to <br /> the Accounting Department - Expense Account. It was further de- <br /> cided that next year a sufficient amount will be included in the <br /> Accounting Department budget to take care of supplies purchased from <br /> the State. <br />
