Congratulations, Jim! <br />The committee voted unanimously to cancel the scheduled meeting for 9/20/2011 and replace it <br />with a meeting at the Community Conversation on 9/27. <br />Discussion of the League of Women Voters Community Conversation on 9127. <br />Defining a community center would be easier if we had a blank sheet of paper, but we don't have <br />that. We have a lot of places already serving populations. The community conversation will be <br />good to tell us what we've been missing. <br />What do we want to say? Possibilities are: <br />Introduce the charge of the Task Force. We want to say that we have an increasing list of needs <br />that are unmet and sometimes unspoken. Be upfront about our work and task, define it to the <br />community. So we don't know if the CC is a building or an administrative center, but we know <br />that there are unmet needs and we are trying to define those. Can we say we are looking for <br />people to help us define the needs and we'd love them to make themselves known to us? <br />Remember that this is not OUR event, we are there as participants! <br />Going forward <br />We can use the website more effectively during this process. We can say `Further info as this <br />project unfolds can be found (the website address) ` <br />Discussion of how to get people to talk to us: what about holding open houses, come and tell us <br />what you want? <br />
