Presented by Erik°Lund, <br /> MOTION: That the action of the Board of Selectmen in <br /> accepting on behalf of the Town a deed from Ernest E. <br /> Outhet conveying to the Town a parcel of land containing <br /> 7.8 acres, more or less, and shown as Parcel "A" on plan <br /> entitled "Woodside Acres in Lexington, Mass. ", dated <br /> April 15, 1967, Albert A. Miller & Wilbur C. Nylander, <br /> Civil Engineers and Surveyors, which parcel of land is <br /> subject' to'a transmission line easement established by <br /> a taking by Boston Edison Company dated March 16, 1948, <br /> recorded with'Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds, <br /> Book 7243, Page 390, be and hereby is ratified, confirmed <br /> and adopted, <br /> 8:10 P. M. <br /> After general discussion, Richard H. Soule moves the <br /> previous question which was declared carried by voice <br /> vote. 8:17 P. M. <br /> Main motion declared carried "by voice vote. 8:18 P. M. <br /> Article 56. Presented by Irving H. Mabee, <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are <br /> authorized to purchase, take by eminent domain or other- <br /> wise acquire for playground and recreational purposes all <br /> or any part of the land consisting of a parcel of land <br /> off Freemont Street, containing 9.6 acres, more or less, <br /> described in a deed recorded in Middlesex South District <br /> Registry of Deeds, Bodk 10449, Page 185, and lots 222 and <br /> 223 as shown on the plancf Lexington Farms recorded in <br /> said Deeds as Plan number 11 in Plan Book 202, and a <br /> parcel of land containing 8.9 acres,more or less, shown <br /> as lot A on plan recorded in said Deeds at the end of <br /> Book 7) 26, all believed to be now or formerly of Paul Be <br /> Lloyd and Olive E. Lloyd; and to raise and appropriate <br /> for the acquisition of said land the sum of $57, 500.00. <br /> 8:19 P. M. <br /> Mr. Mabee states that the Board of Selectmen_ have not <br /> been able to reach an agreement with the Lloyd's as to <br /> the value of the land. 8:22 P. M. <br /> Phe Selectmen are unanimously in favor of the acquisition <br /> of the land, ` <br /> Richard A, Michelson presents two motions: <br /> #1. Moves to strike out the words "take by eminent <br /> domain or otherwise acquire". <br /> #2. Moves to strike out the figure "$57,500.00" and <br /> substitute therefor the figure "$84,000.00". " <br /> 8:28 P. Ms <br /> Natalie H, Riffin states that the Planning Board is <br /> unanimously in favor of the acquisition of the' land, <br /> 8:32 P. M. <br /> Robert E.
