o <br />Selectmen's Meeting July 1, 1986 <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />recommendations of th Traf fic Safety Advisory Committee for the continued <br />enforcement of the existing speed limit and the installation of two "Caution <br />Children" signs on Li.1. Road. <br />PARKING BAN ON STEDMAN RCAL LEA � ��CT0N SC <br />REQUEST H00L LEPARI'MENT MR . MACI LANES <br />Mr. James Maclnnes of the Lexington School. Department was present to <br />discuss his request for a "No Parking" regulation on the southerly side of <br />Brookside Avenue, from Waltham Street to Stedman Road. He explained to the <br />Board that when special events are taking place at the Clarke Junior High <br />School, attendees of the events park on both sides of the road of Brookside <br />Avenue making it impassable for emergency vehicles. <br />The Traffic Safety Advisory Committee recommended approval of the <br />request. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee for a "No Parking" <br />regulation on the southerl side of Brookside Avenue, , from Waltham Street to <br />Stedman Road, <br />LCWELL STREET NC PASSING - TEMMALLC RE BEST <br />The Board reviewed the request of Mr. Robert Temmallo for a double <br />yellow centerline on Lowell Street, from East Street to the Burlington <br />line. Portions of this area now have a double <br />yellow line, whi others do <br />not, and permit passing. <br />The Board recommended upgrading of enforcement in this area. Mr. <br />Hutchinson responded that one of the biggest concerns was the increase <br />in <br />traffic items over the past f ew years and that Le i n ton has had a record rd of <br />good enforcement in traffic areas and that the Torn will continue to build <br />Id <br />on this record. <br />Upon motion duly rude and seconded, it was voted to accept the <br />recommendations of the Traffic Safety Advisory p <br />y A d �.sory Commzttee and grant approval <br />of Mr. Temmallo's request for a double yellow centerline on Lowell Street <br />from East Street to the Burlington line, allowing o passing in this entire <br />area. <br />� p � e.�t�re <br />CLARKE STREET PARK DRTVr -HEXER RE BEST <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to table for urther <br />study the request of Mr-s Alexandra Hewer regarding concerns about i <br />and other issues on Clarke Street and Park Drive near the bays, field. <br />MILITIA DRIVE NC PARKING - BROWN REQUEST <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to approve the request <br />pp � <br />of Mr. Otis Brown as recommended by the Traffic Safety Advisor Committee <br />]� y <br />for a "No Parking" regulation on Militia Drive, at the entrance from Worthe n <br />Road and along the southwesterly side. <br />. <br />
