woo <br />.. 2_ <br />A memorandum from Mr. Tonaszuck , D irector of public Works /Engineering <br />with the following conditions was noted by the Chairman: <br />. Conduit must go behind hydrant with all digging done by hand. <br />2, The Contractor for Gerald M i mno must obtain from the Town of <br />Le�,±ngton all necessary permits and insurance coverage. The <br />Contractor shah, notify the Town of Lexington two (2) days <br />prior to the commencement of work. <br />There being no statements in favor or in opposition, the hearing was <br />declared closed. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />petiti plan and order of the Boston Edison Company f or the purpose of <br />installing approximately eighty -five {85} feet of conduit in Pleasant Street <br />with conditions as listed above. <br />MINUTES DUNE 2 /JUNE 17, 1966 <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the minutes <br />of Selectmen's Meeting of June 2, and June 17, X986 as amended. <br />TRAFFIC SAFETY ADVISORY COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Mr. Peter Chalpin, Chairman of the Traffic Safety Advisory COMM' ttee , <br />was present for review of the Committee's several traffic items, <br />WI NTHROP RCAL RELOCATION OF "CAUTION CHILDREN" S+CN BONNER RE UEST <br />The Board reviewed the request of Mrs. Janet Bonner regarding <br />relocation of. h e two e as - is in Cau - i. o n C.Fh i I-drer, <br />5 +gs and increased <br />enforcement of speeding laws. <br />Mrs. Bonner was present and out?ined the problem of speeding on <br />Winthrop Road, and answered questions on the problem from the Board. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to accept the <br />recommendations of the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee on the request of <br />Mrs. Janet Bonner for increased enforcement of speeding laws and relocation <br />of the two existing "Caution Children" signs. <br />LILLIAN ROAR L "SLOW CHILDREN" SIGNS - PAYNE RE U T <br />The request of Ms. Debra Payne regarding the posting of 2 "Sl <br />Children" signs and the lowering of the speed limit on Lillian Road was <br />reviewed by the Board. Some discussion ensued from members of the Board <br />pertaining to the collection of hard data as to the number of cars and when <br />the speeding on Lillian Road takes place. <br />The Traffic Safety Advisory Committee recommended against changing the <br />speed limit but that enforcement of existing speed limit was necessary. The <br />Committee also recommended the installation of two "Caution Children" signs <br />and consideration of sidewalk construction during the upcoming budget <br />process. <br />
