Hutchinson referenced a letter from Senator Carol Amick to Boards <br />of Selectmen and Finance Committees in Bedford, Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, <br />dated October 25, 1885, regarding legislation to be filed which would <br />authorize and direct MassPort to make payments in lieu of taxes to the above <br />mentioned Towns. The Senator asked that the Boards of Selectmen sign on as <br />co- sponsors of the bill, to be filed f the upcoming session. MassPort <br />carries a tax - exempt status and the bill would direct MassPort t enter i nto <br />agreements with towns surrounding Hanscom Field, whereby MassPort'would make <br />payments proportionate to the financial burden incurred by each town <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to support 5.1880, as <br />requested by Senator Amick. <br />YOUTH COMMISSION APPT -- CALVIN <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />appointment by the Town Manager of Cynthia K. Calvin to the Lexington Youth <br />Commission for a term of three years, ■■r► <br />
