Selectmen, requesting clarif i ation of <br />Students legislation which requires that munic ipalities provide busing for ;private <br />school pupils and inquiring whether the new mandate is subj ect� to State <br />funding. ' <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it . was voted to authoriz� the <br />Acting Town Manager to send above mentioned letter on behalf of Oe Board of <br />Selectmen, subject to review by Town Counsel. <br />Res & Ctr. <br />Draft letter in response to correspondence from Frank Sandy, <br />'regarding <br />Pool Fees <br />swim tag and single use f ees f or the Center Pool and Old Res, was ' ,noted. <br />Sandy <br />Board members were asked to review the draft and ' communicat e any comments <br />on its revision to Ms. Adler. <br />Ms. Adler informed the Board of problems which have been reported <br />regarding use of alcohol on public land by soft ball teams and attendees. <br />Suggestions were made for revoking of permits issued for use of p <br />I aying <br />fields and prominent notation on permits that use of alcoholic be <br />; erage is <br />not permitted. <br />The Town Manager'' s staff will explore possible procedures for <br />resolu- <br />tion of the problem and methods of enf orcement for report to the Board <br />in <br />the near future, <br />Mass . Munic . <br />Mrs. Batt in noted that the 1984 Massachusetts Municipal C onf orence <br />Conference <br />will be held on October 26 to October 28, at Dunf ey' s in' .Hyannis wind asked <br />members to consider attendance and inf orm the Selectmen's 'Off ice al's soon <br />as possible. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to authorize <br />the <br />attendance of all members of the Board of Selectmen, if they so ddsire, <br />to attend the 1984 Massachusetts Municipal Conference in Hyannis, on <br />October 26 through October 28. <br />MBTA 8110 <br />Mr. Sacco, Member of the Minuteman Bikeway Committee, reporteld that <br />Hearing <br />he will be unable to attend a t the July 10 MBTA Hearing on the Ra tlr o ad <br />R.R. right <br />Right of way. Mr. Eddison will represent the Board at the Hearing., <br />of way <br />Mr. Sacco noted the July 3rd reception in the Selectmen's Meeting <br />Sister City <br />Room for visitors from Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico, Lexington's Sister! <br />City, <br />and encouraged the of Board members.
