Selectmen's Meeting <br />� (.* -5- <br />I <br />July 16, 1984 <br />MBTA will also be informed that Lexington wishes to be actively involved <br />in the decision process. Notes from the Lexington Public Information <br />Meeting and a summary of the Minuteman Bikeway Committee's findings will <br />be included. <br />Mr., Eddison presented draft copies of a letter which will be sent <br />to committee chairmen, requesting suggestions on text of a talent bank <br />questionnaire and asking for corrections /revisions to a description of <br />their particular committee's functions and criteria for membership. Mr. <br />- Marshall suggested that consideration .be given. to a more extensive adver- <br />t isement of committee vacancies. These matters will be scheduled for <br />detailed discussion at the meeting of August 6. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />following appointments of candidates submitted for membership in the <br />Hanscom Field Advisory Commission: <br />Fred J. Marcus, representing North Lincoln, Citizens' Assoc. <br />f or a term to expire in 1987 <br />Anthony Mandile, representing the Town of Acton, f or a term <br />to expire in 1987 <br />Carl , Kokernak, Digital, representing local businesses, for a <br />term to expire in 1986 (to fill an unexpired term) <br />Normal Fredkin, Flight Operations, Raytheon, for a term to <br />expire in 1987 <br />Edward Stead & Raymond Pellitier, , Stead Aviation, representing <br />pno firms doing business at Hanscom Field. <br />Ralph Sanford, representing .Nat ion Business Aircar f t Assoc., <br />for a term to expire in 1987. <br />Committees <br />Appts.Hanscom <br />Field Adv. <br />Comm. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to proclaim the week Proclamation <br />of October 7 through October 14, 1984, as COASTWEEK. The League of women COASTWEEK <br />Voters, who had requested this proclamation in conjunction with Governor <br />Dukakis' state wide observance of COASTWEEK, will prepare the t ext of the <br />proclamation for execution by the Board at a later time. <br />. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to appoint thirty- Election <br />five Democratic and forty Republican Election officers for terms of office Workers <br />expiring September 1, 1985. The Town Clerk will be requested to notify <br />each election officer. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to sign the warrant warrant - <br />to the Animal Control officer for 1018 unlicensed dogs in the .Town of Lex- -- Unlicensed <br />ing ton , dogs <br />. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve a Local Bond, Asst. <br />Officials New Hampshire Insurance Company Bond, in the amount of $2, on Town Clerk <br />behalf of Barbara A.
