Selectmen's Meeting 3 t -3- <br />February 6, 1984 <br />has enough authority to intervene in the process with respect to <br />conditions to be imposed in.the permit. Mr. Politi asked if a mora- <br />torium on such activity could be imposed during the study period. <br />The Town Manager will report on February 13 as to what avenues <br />are open to the Town and Town Counsel will research in terms of Board <br />of Health authority. <br />Mr. Hutchinson informed the Board that Warren Empey, Manager of <br />Operations, D.P.W., will retire on April 1. He noted Mr. Empey's <br />value as an employee, and thatthe loss of his services to the Town <br />will be a substantial one. <br />Mrs. Battin informed the Board of the vote of the Center Revitali- <br />zation Committee to request the Selectmen to authorize the Town Manager <br />to investigate the economic feasibility of a parking garage in Lexington <br />Center. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded., it was voted to direct the <br />Town Manager an independent investigation to a 90% confidence <br />factor of the economic feasibility of a parking garage; to review the <br />data presented by the Planning D'W� tor an e ..C. parking garage <br />sub - committee; to include an ana.l� sus o t ota l development costs, <br />construction costs and operating coats of the most recently built, <br />garages in the Commonwealth. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at <br />9:07 p.m. <br />oft "' A true record, Attest: <br />WarrenEmpey <br />Retirement <br />Eco n.Feas. <br />Study <br />Parking <br />Garage <br />Ito <br />N ,C Acting Execut ve Clerk <br />
