Mrs. Battin .stated that she felt <br />that in order to have a full compliment on the committee, she suggested <br />appointing Mr. Mix . and hold the second appointment open. <br />Mr. Polit.i agreed to appointing one member to the committee and <br />nominated Mr. Donald M. Graham. Mr. Politi stated that Mr. Graham has <br />had years of experience with the MBTA and is a former Chairman of the <br />Planning Board. <br />Mrs. Battin stated that, as Mr. Crain is the liaison selectman with <br />the Committee that perhaps it would-be better to table the matter until <br />Mr. Crain return. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to table the ap- <br />pointments to the Transportation Advisory Committee. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to appoint Chief <br />Traffic <br />Paul E. Furdon, proforina., to the Traf f is Safety Committee and to appoint <br />Saf. Cora. <br />,John A. Powell as a new member. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to appoint Lewis <br />Personnel <br />M. Rambo and Marc E. Shunney to the Personnel Advisory Board for three <br />Ad. Bd. <br />year terms to expire May 31, 1985. <br />Mgrs. Ba.ttin reported to the Board that she had contacted Senator <br />Garrity <br />Rotondi's office to solicit his support in getting the Garrity-House <br />House <br />Bill through the Senate when they reconvene in August. She suggested <br />Bill <br />that Mr. Ba write to the Senator expressing the Town's concern that <br />the Bill be passed eeditiously because of the time factor involved in <br />the construction work. The Board agreed that this should be done and <br />Mr. Bu a will write to Senator Rotondi. <br />Mr. William Page, Chairman of the C TV Committee reported to the C T <br />Board that there i ' an amended version of Senate Bill 2172 which could <br />have a negative impact on the terms of the Town's license agreement <br />with Adams-Russell. Mr. Page suggested that Senator Barry M. Goldwater, <br />Chairman, Subcommittee on Communications, be contacted by letter to ex- <br />press the Town's concerns and request that the Committee allow time for <br />our Town Counsel to study amended version and inform the Board of <br />its full impact on our contract. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to -authorize the de <br />Chairman to write to Senator Barry M. Goldwater expressing the Town's <br />concerns relative to the amended version of Senate Bill 21720 <br />.Upon motion duly made and seconded., it was voted to table the re- State Aid <br />quest of the Town Manager to sign the document for State Aid HE D-077 HED -077 <br />until the Manager reviews with the DPW and has an updated report. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept the Traffic <br />recommendations of the Traffic Safety Committee regarding the re- Safety <br />guests of Mr. vahe Adamian, 17 Mason Street, and Mr. Kurt M. Tramp, Items <br />
