Koppel of 18 W ellington Lane Avenue asked M Tonaszuck if the com- <br />pletion of Wellington Lane was contingent upon Meadow Brook in any way. <br />Mr. Tonauck replied that it was. <br />No other comments in favor or opposition, Mr. Crain declared the hear- <br />ing closed. <br />Mr. Crain thanked those in attendance for their participation and they <br />retired from the meeting. <br />Taft Ave. The Board met with the petitioners for a warning sign and a posted <br />Traffic speed sign on Taft Avenue. <br />Mr. Chalpin, Chairman of the Traffic safety Committee read the Com- <br />mittee's report to the Board which denied the request. He explained that <br />the fundament al speed law prevails in the area which is "speed reasonable <br />and proper taking into account road conditions, weather and the safety of <br />the public as well as the general use of the street. It was the Committee's <br />feeling that to post a speed limit could undermine the thrust of the fun - <br />damental speed law and might lead to a posted speed which could be greater <br />than "reasonable and proper". He explained that the warrants for "Caution <br />Children" signs were applied and not satisfied. <br />Mr. .Joseph Petner, 30 Taft Avenue, requested further survey of the <br />traffic during the afternoons when children are home from school and play- <br />ing. <br />The request will be taken under advisement and the Manager will re- <br />port back to the Board. Mr. Potner is to be notif when the Board re- <br />views the Manager's report. <br />Traffic sign The Board reviewed the request of Linda J. Knight for a "Caution <br />Hudson /Nor- Children" sign, at Hudson and Normandy Roads. <br />mandy Rds. The Chairman read the recommendation of the Traffic Safety Committee <br />to grant the request. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was 'voted to accept the rec- <br />ommendation of the Traffic Safety Committee to instal. a "Caution Children' <br />sign at the corner of Hudson and Normandy Roads, <br />Traffic signs The Board reviewed the request of firs. Elizabeth Barabuh for the re- <br />Estabrook location of posted speed signs at Estabrook school and Grove Street. <br />School/Grove The Chairman read the recommendation, of the Traffic safety Committee <br />St, to grant the request. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept the recam- <br />mend -at.i n _ of the Traffic Safety Committee and move the Northbound sign <br />oo feet northerly and the Southbound sign 400 feet southerly at Grove street <br />near the Estabrook, school. <br />Traffic The Board reviewed the request of the Police Department to institute <br />Rules & Regs.a "No Parking" regulation on Fletcher Avenue. <br />Fletcher The Chairman read the recommendation of the 'Traffic Safety Committee <br />Ave. to grant the request. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to amend-the Traff <br />Rules and Regulations as follows <br />Location side From To Type <br />=No <br />A <br />Fletcher Ave. East Railroad Tracks Hayes Lame No Paring <br />uml� <br />
