{� f <br />4 F <br />4 <br />f V <br />SELECTMEN MEETING <br />March 8 1982 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held In the Select - <br />meni Meeting Room, Town office Building, on Monday, March 8 , 1982 a t <br />7 :30 P .M, Acting Chairman Crain, Mrs. Battin, Mr. Politi and Mr. Sacco; <br />Mr, Hutchinson, Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel; Miss Adler, Assist- <br />ant to the Town-Manager; Miss Casey, Executive Clerk., were present. <br />Mr. Crain convened the meeting and opened the sheet hearings for <br />Meadow Brook Avenue - from Blossomcrest Road 283' to Wellington Lane <br />Avenue; outlook ]give - from Middleby Road, 400 '+ northeasterly; Welling- <br />ton Lame Avenue - from meadow Brook Avenue o' to end. <br />The Manager explained that due to existing errors on plans that <br />have previously been filed, it may be necessary to withdraw because of the <br />lack of a legally acceptable layout.. The Director of Public Works in- <br />formed the Board that in order to provide a mathematically correct Layout <br />for Meadow Brook. and Wellington Lane, significant landtakings would be <br />necessary. He explained that it would be a lengthy process requiring <br />full and detailed on the ground survey to pinpoint and correct the errors. <br />Mrs. Shirley Byrne, 77 Wellington Lane Ave. addressed the Board and <br />requested a moratorium on the acceptance of Meadow Brook. Avenue. She ex- <br />pressed concerns relative to the traffic that would be generated by the <br />development of six lots directing traffic to Road, Blossomere t to <br />Allen Street which she feels are not equipped to handle the traffic. She <br />stated that after the development is completed the road could be com- <br />pleted then. <br />M r. Crain requested the Manager to investigate further the problems <br />on Meadow Brook Avenue and report at-the next meeting. <br />No one else speaking in favor or opposition, Mr. Crain declared the <br />hearing closed. <br />Mr. Crain opened the hearing on outlook Drive and called upon the <br />Director of Public Works. <br />Mr. Tonas explained the layout for outlook.. Drive from Middleby <br />Road, 400' northeasterly with 24 of pavement, layout is 40 feet and <br />sidewalks on one side; total betterment costs are approximately $20,101. <br />Mr. Brown of 65 Outlook. ]give addressed the Board expressed apprecia- <br />tion for the decision of the Board to have this particular area of Outlook. <br />Drive i accepted by the Town. <br />No one else spearing in favor or opposition, Mr. Crain declared the <br />hearing closed. <br />Meadow <br />Brood Ave. <br />Outlook <br />Drive <br />Mr. gain opened the hearing on Wellington Lame Avenue and Mr. Tonas - Wellington <br />uc . explained that Wellington Lane Avenue starts at the termination of Lane Ave. <br />Meadow Brook Avenue and includes the cul -de -sac area and is approximately <br />600' long. The layout proposed is 40 feet and .includes 24 feel of pave - <br />meat with drainage with sidewalk on the odd side. The estimate of better- <br />
