There <br /> were no objections from the meeting so the appropriation now reads <br /> $200,000. 8:28 P.M. <br /> William J. Dai,ley, Jr., Chairman of the Appropriation Committee <br /> stated that the committee recommended unfavorable action on this <br /> article. 8:30 P.M. <br /> Main motion, as presented by Mr. Crain, declared adopted by voice <br /> vote. 8:31 P.M. <br /> (Motion, with corrected appropriation, as adopted: <br /> (As MOTION: That the sum of $200,000 be appropriated for a local <br /> adopted) transportation system, that such amount be raised in the tax levy, <br /> and that the Selectmen be authorized to apply for, accept and <br /> expend funds from the M.B.T.A. or any other governmental agency <br /> in connection with such local transportation system, and to <br /> contract with a private transit company to provide transportation <br /> services. <br /> Adopted by voice vote. 8:31 P.M.) Battin. <br /> (As MOTION: That the sum of $5,000.00 be appropriated to be expended <br /> adopted) by the Board of Health under G.L.c. 40s.5 (40C) and a contract <br /> to be entered into with Central Middlesex Association for Retarded <br /> Citizens, Inc. ( CMARC), which contract shall provide that the funds <br /> from the Town shall be earmarked toward a program or purpose <br /> designated by the Board of Selectmen, and that such amount be <br /> raised in the tax levy. <br /> 8:33 P.M. <br /> Julian J. Bussgang, who was of the opinion that the Human Services <br /> Committee should be a by -law committee, asked that the Board of <br /> Selectmen study this possibility for next year. 8:35 P.M. <br /> Mrs. Battin answered that the Board of Selectmen would take under <br /> advisement Mr. Bussgang's suggestion. <br /> Main motion declared adopted unanimously. 8:35 P.M. <br />
