(ADJOURNED SESSIONi A.T.M. , CONT. - APRIL 10, 1991 <br /> of daily living and personal care services for three <br /> or more non-related adults. See Subsection 5.6.1. <br /> ASSISTED LIVING UNIT: One or more rooms in an <br /> Assisted Living Residence designed for and occupied by <br /> one or two individuals. See Subsection 5.6.1. <br /> CONGREGATE LIVING FACILITY: A non-institutional, <br /> shared living environment which integrates shelter and <br /> service needs of functionally impaired and/or socially <br /> isolated older persons who are otherwise in good <br /> health and can maintain a semi-independent life style <br /> and who do not require constant supervision or <br /> intensive health care as provided by an institution. <br /> See Subsection 5.6.1. <br /> CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY: Includes <br /> combinations of independent living residence, <br /> congregate living facility, assisted living residence, <br /> and long-term care facility within a single facility <br /> or on'the same tract, offering lifetime housing and a <br /> variety of health care, social, and recreational <br /> services. See Subsection 5.6.1. <br /> CONVALESCENT HOME: Same as "LONG TERM CARE FACILITY" <br /> EXTENDED CARE FACILITY: Same as "LONG TERM CARE <br /> FACILITY" <br /> INDEPENDENT LIVING RESIDENCE: A dwelling that <br /> provides accommodations in dwelling units for elderly <br /> persons These residences may include common areas, a <br /> common dining facility and space for the provision of <br /> social, psychological, and educational programs. See <br /> Subsection 5.6.1. <br /> INTERMEDIATE CARE FACILITY: Same as "LONG TERM CARE <br /> FACILITY" <br /> LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY: An institution or distinct <br /> part of an institution which is licensed by the <br /> Massachusetts Department of Public Health to provide <br /> 24-hour care under medical supervision to individuals <br /> who, by reason of advanced age, chronic illness, or <br /> infirmity, are unable to care for themselves. See <br /> Subsection 5.6.1. <br /> and by inserting the following terms in the proper <br /> alphabetical sequence: <br /> ASSISTED LIVING RESIDENCE: see "LIVING FACILITIES FOR <br /> SENIORS" <br /> CMR: Code of Massachusetts Regulations - Regulations <br /> promulgated by agencies of the Commonwealth of <br /> Massachusetts <br /> MGL. : Massachusetts General Laws <br /> NURSING HOME: Same as "LONG TERM CARE FACILITY" <br /> REST HOME: Same as "LONG TERM CARE FACILITY" <br /> SENIOR CITIZEN: Same as "ELDERLY" <br /> SKILLED NURSING FACILITY: Same as "LONG TERM CARE <br /> FACILITY" <br /> B.
