The Town Manager stated that a <br /> position had been filled during the current year. It is actual budget. <br /> 9:43 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS <br /> 300-101 Personal Services 2,442,097 <br /> 300-102 Expenses 3,197,005 <br /> (Of which $55,000.00 is to be transferred from <br /> the Westview Perpetual Care Fund) <br /> Fred Rosenberg, Precinct 9, presented the following motion: <br /> MOTION: Line Item 300-102 be amended to add at the end thereof the (notDassel- <br /> b <br /> words: "Provided further that none of the individual expense accounts see e ow <br /> listed on page 15 of the warrant which comprise the Public Works Expense <br /> Budget shall be exceeded by more than twenty percent." <br /> 9:47 p.m. <br /> The Town Manager understood Mr. Rosenberg's concern and agreed to <br /> the need for accountability. However he felt a responsibility to attempt <br /> to avoid future Special Town Meetings and asked for management <br /> flexibility. 9:50 p.m. <br /> Frank Sandy, Precinct 6, asked for a figure with which the Town <br /> Manager could live. 9:50 p.m. <br /> The Town Manager said he would live with whatever figure the Town <br /> Meeting votes. 9:51 p.m. <br /> John Eddison, Selectman, voiced unanimous support of the Selectmen <br /> for the Town Manager in opposing Mr. Rosenberg's amendment.9:51 p.m. <br /> Robert Rotberg, Precinct 3, voiced support of the amendment. <br /> 9:52 p.m. <br /> The Moderator read the Amendment, called for a voice vote, The (Rosenberg <br /> Amendment was declared not carried. 9:53 p.m. amendment <br /> did not pass) <br /> Ephraim Weiss, Precinct 5, asked the Town Manager if there was any <br /> change in insect suppression policy. The Town Manager stated that there <br /> had been no change in policy. 9:54 p.m. <br />
