Cripps moved that the report of the Planning Board <br /> on Article 45 be accepted and placed on file. <br /> Adopted unanimously. 8:48 P.M. <br /> Presented by Stephen B. Cripps. <br /> I (See MOTION: That the Zoning By -law be amended as set forth in the <br /> Pages motion entitled "Motion for the Town Clerk" which is attached to <br /> 48 -50 the Planning Board's report on this proposed amendment. <br /> for 8 :49 P.M. <br /> motion <br /> as Mr. Cripps explained that the official motion under Article 45 <br /> adopted) as filed with the Town Clerk differed from the motion given to the <br /> Town Meeting Members, but only that it did not have explanations etc. <br /> 8:49 P.M. <br /> After a short explanation, Mr. Cripps made the following motion <br /> to amend: <br /> (Amend. MOTION: That in Part A2c) of the main motion to strike out the <br /> adopted) proposed new second sentence and to insert in place thereof, the <br /> following: <br /> "Dormers may be constructed on those exterior walls provided they <br /> are structurally supported on the roof rafters and the length of <br /> the dormer(s) as measured between the lowest bearing points of the <br /> dormer(s) on the rafters of the sloping roof does not exceed 50 <br /> per cent of the length of the sloping roof to which it is attached. <br /> 8 :58 P.M. <br /> Mr. Cripps motion to amend was declared adopted by voice vote. <br /> 9 :02 P.M. <br /> Robert H. Domnitz moved to amend: <br /> (Amend. MOTION: That subsection 7.5.5 be replaced with the following <br /> adopted) subsection: <br /> 7.5.5 PARKING WITHIN BUILDING <br /> Where a building contains parking spaces, a parking level shall <br /> be counted as a story unless more than one -half of such level <br /> vertically is below the lower elevation as described in subsection <br /> 7.5.1A. 9:03 P.M. <br /> After Mr. Domnitz gave a short explanation, Stephen B. Cripps said <br /> that the Planning Board supported the amendment. 9 :08 P.M. <br /> Mr. Domnitz motion to amend was declared adopted by voice vote. <br /> 9 :08 P.M. <br /> Ephraim Weiss voiced concern about building heights and Frank <br /> Sandy said that this motion makes a simple definition more complicated <br /> and asked what was the purpose of all these major changes. <br /> Mr. Cripps answered that it further defines the way to measure and <br /> offers flexibility. He said that he feels that it is a good article. <br /> 9:13 P.M. <br />
