Eddison. <br /> MOTION: That this article be indefinitely postponed. <br /> Adopted by voice vote. 10:06 P.M. <br /> Article 22. STREET ACCEPTANCE AND CONSTRUCTION <br /> Presented by John C. Eddison. ,. <br /> j <br /> MOTION: To establish as town ways and accept the layout of the <br /> following town ways: <br /> (I.P.P. (a) Maple Tree Lane from Maple Street a distance of 325 feet, more <br /> See - - -- or less, to end; <br /> below) <br /> (As --- - -- (b) Pearl Street from Bartlett Avenue a distance of 370 feet, more <br /> adopted. or less, to end; <br /> See <br /> below) all as laid out by the Selectmen and shown upon plans on file in <br /> the office of the Town Clerk, dated February 20, 1986, and to <br /> authorize the Selectmen to take by eminent domain, purchase or <br /> otherwise acquire any fee, easement or other interest in land <br /> necessary therefor. 10 :07 P.M. <br /> Mr. Eddison said that there would not be any unaccepted streets <br /> to be accepted due to fiscal restraints. 10:08 P.M. <br /> David G. Williams wondered if we should wait until after a sub- <br /> division is completed before accepting a street. 10 :10 P.M. <br /> Frank Sandy asked if Maple Tree Lane was built to town standards. <br /> 10:11 P.M. <br /> Judith J. Uhrig said that the, sidewalk was waived and added that <br /> it might be a good idea to delete Maple Tree Lane. 10:12 P.M. <br /> William W. Welch, Jr. asked that the streets be divided for <br /> voting purposes and the Moderator said that they would be voted <br /> on separately. 10:13 P.M. <br /> Judith J. Uhrig moved that section (a) Maple Tree Lane be <br /> indefinitely postponed. 10:13 P.M. <br /> Angela E. Frick, a Town Meeting Member and resident of Tavern Lane, <br /> asked why Tavern Lane was not in the motion, although it was in <br /> the warrant. 10:13 P.M. <br /> Mr. Eddison said that it was deleted for cost purposes. 10 :14 P.M. <br /> Mrs. Frick said that the neighbors had been negotiating with the <br /> Selectmen for twelve years and asked when the drainage from Eliot <br /> Road would be corrected. Mr. Eddison answered that the D.P.W. <br /> was working on it. He also said that the neighbors would be <br /> notified. 10:17 P.M. <br /> Mr. Eddison said that the Selectmen did not have any objections to <br /> postponing Maple Tree Lane. 10:19 P.M. <br /> Sec. (a). Motion to indefinitely postpone section (a) Maple Tree <br /> t <br /> Lane was adopted unanimously. 10 :19 P.M. <br /> General discussion followed regarding Tavern Lane and the width of <br /> the street and the difference between Maple Tree Lane and Pearl Street. <br /> Sec. (b). Motion under section (b) Pearl Street was declared <br /> adopted unanimously. 10:27 P.M. <br />
