TAX ANTICIPATION BORROWING <br /> Presented by William J. Dailey, Jr. <br /> MOTION: That the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Select- <br /> men, be authorized to borrow money from time to time in anticipation <br /> of the revenue for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1986 and to <br /> issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, under G.L. <br /> c. 44, sec. 4 as amended, and to renew any note or notes as may be <br /> given for a period of less than one year, under G.L. c. 44, sec. 17. <br /> Adopted unanimously. 9:02 P.M. <br /> Article 11. CONSERVATION FUND <br /> Presented by William J. Dailey, Jr. <br /> MOTION: That the sum of $15 be appropriated for the Conserva- <br /> tion Fund; that to raise such amount $15,000 be transferred from <br /> the Reserve Fund - Overlay Surplus; and that the Town acknowledge with <br /> gratitude the bequest of $10,000 from the Estate of Robert C. <br /> Merriam, such amount to be placed in the Conservation Fund to be used <br /> for the acquisition of public lands. <br /> 9 :03 P.M. <br /> .1 <br /> Michael J. O'Sullivan said that the Appropriation ro riation Committee <br /> recommended favorable action. 9:05 P.M. -- <br /> Daniel L. UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION FUND <br /> Presented by William J. Dailey, Jr. <br /> MOTION: That the sum of $15,000 be appropriated for the unemploy- <br /> ment compensation fund to be used in conjunction with money <br /> previously appropriated for this purpose, and to raise such amount <br /> $15 be transferred from the Reserve Fund - Overlay Surplus. <br /> 9 :05 P.M. <br /> Michael J. O'Sullivan said that the Appropriation Committee <br /> recommended favorable action. 9:06 P.M. <br /> Adopted unanimously. 9 :06 P.M. <br /> i <br /> Article 13. WATER 'MAINS <br /> Presented by John C. Eddison. <br /> (As MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to <br /> adopted) install new or replacement water mains in such accepted or un- <br /> accepted streets or other land as the Selectmen may determine, <br /> subject to the assessment of betterments or otherwise, and to take <br /> by eminent domain, purchase or otherwise acquire any fee, easement <br /> or other interest in land necessary therefor; to appropriate the <br /> sum of $200,000 for such installation and land acquisition; and that <br /> such amount be raised in the tax levy. <br /> Adopted unanimously. 9:12 P.M. <br />
