experience.
■ It was surprising that virtually no students identified not seeing other
adults at Estabrook as a concern. The group agreed that this is a
testament to the community that classroom teachers have built.
■ A desire for more peer interactions was identified among all students,
but to a lesser degree for grade two. Many students were not able to
identify ways that this could occur. Breakout rooms were suggested
and teachers may reflect on this data and incorporate some choices
during the week. The MHT is also considering how they may support
this.
• Parent Feedback
• The group discussed the low participation rate that we have been
experiencing and agreed that there are many factors that impact this.
• A survey will be used to get parent feedback on the some questions that
have been asked of students. In addition, we will seek feedback on:
■ Time/day preference for parent sessions
■ Topics of interest
• Suggestions
■ End-of-year coffee to discuss ways that parents can support their
students over the summer
■ Possibly focus sessions on how to use different platforms - Peardeck;
google classroom; Seesaw, etc.
■ Consider whether we are reaching all populations as much as
possible.
. Language
• Paper vs. email
• Other
• Future topics
• Revisit Parent Feedback/Sessions
• Status of full time for some students
• Reverse field trips
