(781) 861-2320, ext. 69103 <br /> Principal astephens@lexingtonma.org <br /> Lexington High School Site Council February 2020 Meeting Minutes <br /> LHS School Site council met on February 10th, 2020 from 6:00-7:30 in Room 505D in the <br /> World Language Building <br /> Present: Andrew Stephens, Cathy Swan, Karen Griffiths, Sheera Knecht, Sam Off sey, Ling <br /> Yang, Kate Vogelzang, Erin Barrett, Angela Chang, Kate Cutler, Suzanne Lau, and Kate Riley <br /> Absent: Liz Curtain, Khoi Le, Ed Li, Nancy Shepard <br /> Approved the January meeting minutes <br /> Updates <br /> *Coronavirus <br /> -Superintendent is in constant contact with the Lexington Board of Health and the Mass <br /> Board of Health and the CDC and is updating the situation on a regular basis or when <br /> any new information is available <br /> -There are informational links in principal's newsletter <br /> -Remember- this is a scary time and we need to be KIND to each other <br /> *School Security <br /> -There is now a check-in table set up in hallway as you enter LHS through front doors <br /> -this improves security and alleviates traffic in front office during busy times <br /> -Ms. Duly and Mr. Wise are school monitors- they take turns and the table and <br /> walking around the school <br /> -we have secured outer perimeter of school by 90% by locking doors <br /> -inside quad- each building only has one unlocked door <br /> -issue is still main building/main office because it is far from front door <br /> *1 Block Absences <br /> -If a student misses I Block and it is not excused, and email is sent to parents <br /> *March 12 is Professional Development Day (1/2 day for students) <br /> -Continuing with DEI work (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) <br /> -Developing a framework to share with staff a list of focus questions and resources <br /> -PTO is sponsoring the documentary, I Am Not a Racist Am I? <br /> -LHS, Clarke and Diamond staff will watch <br /> -will be shown to community on March 25th <br /> -trying to figure out a way students can see it too <br />
