LEXINGTON COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> Approved on November 2, 2020 <br /> Monday, October 6, 2020 <br /> 7:00 PM— 9:00 PM <br /> Location: Via Zoom <br /> Facilitator: Steve Poltorzycki <br /> Attendance: <br /> Present: Jillian Tung, Steve Poltorzycki, Melissa Talal, Shalini Kakar <br /> Recording Secretary: Shalini Kakar <br /> Meeting start time: 7:04 PM <br /> I. Call to order and reading of script for remotely conducted open meetings <br /> II. Approval of September 14, 2020 meeting minutes: Minutes approved unanimously <br /> III. Finance <br /> 1. Amy Kaiser(earlier treasurer before Shubra)will connect with Hema and update her. <br /> 2. Steve and Jillian had a meeting with the town finance office. <br /> 3. Lexington Arts Council has three accounts: <br /> a) Town accounts/funds - General funds available until June 30th. Total $6,000, of <br /> which $2,000 is for outdoor project exhibit. $1,000 website assistance has been <br /> approved. This Town Fund does not rollover, so we should try to use as much as <br /> possible <br /> b) State Account- Grants money treasurer keeps account of this money which rolls <br /> over to the next financial year. Approx $8,000 as of September(about$6,500 was <br /> committed during FY 2020 grant cycle, and much of that has not yet been paid <br /> out to grantees) we need to use most of it or the state funding will be reduced in <br /> future years. <br /> c) Local Account- Approx $2,500. This is the money raised through donations and <br /> from the 5% of the state funding that goes into this account for our administrative <br /> purposes. This account rolls over. <br /> IV. Door Project <br /> 1. Town Select Board has officially approved the Go Out Doors project <br />
