Lexington Children's Place Closeout— Mark Barrett (Lexington Facilities Department) <br /> The Lexington Children's Place opened on time for the start of the 2019 school year. Punch List work is ongoing. <br /> 4. Hastings Update —Mike Burton. (Dore & Whittier) <br /> Mike's presentation showed a mock-ed up classroom, the playground construction has begun, and glass work will <br /> be starting in the gym in about a week or two. A progress update sheet was also reviewed. <br /> • All HVAC equipment is on site. <br /> • Crews worked to get windows installed and are about halfway complete. Flooring progress is not a <br /> concern. <br /> • It was noted that we will begin to plan for the removal /disposition of existing furniture not to be re-used. <br /> • Plan for Temporary construction heating was discussed, Dust is a concern, so the new system will not be <br /> used. <br /> • A community meeting is planned for October 22nd, 2019. <br /> A review of the cash flow projections were discussed. There are no major concerns over scheduling or deadlines <br /> at this time, although some Saturday work is being considered /instituted to make up for weather days and get <br /> ahead of future winter losses of time. <br /> PBC asked about solar canopy on the site. DPF staff is coordinating with the solar company and information will <br /> be shared with Walsh to facilitate the best solution for install with least impact on the building project, such as <br /> coordinating footing installs. PBC again expressed its concern that the aesthetics of the canopies needed to be <br /> considered well before any decisions are made on solar canopy designs. <br /> PBC inquired about aesthetics and site lighting and thought there should be some future discussions on that <br /> subject. <br /> 5. Visitors Center Update <br /> Photos of construction progress were reviewed. The project, at present, is on schedule for the March 2020 <br /> completion date. <br /> 6. Integrated Design <br /> The Integrated Design policy was passed on Monday October 7th, 2019 at the Board of Selectmen's meeting.
