The March Recreation newsletter was sent to 9,600
people and had a 50% open rate.
Tony Serio provided updates for the Human Services Department. He said that they are in
process of hiring an Outreach Social Worker that will work with residents of all ages. The
first round of interviewing is done. Grace and Tony have organized a drop in teen group
every other Tuesday at Cary Library that began this week and will run through June. They
will talk about controversial topics and provide a snack. They are planning additional
activities as they gain interest. Nancy suggested organizing an opportunity to Skype with
local college students. Archana suggested taking to a high school counselor, or an alumni
from LHS.
The March 14, 2019 meeting of the Community Center ProgramAdvisory Committee adjourned at 8:50
Pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Thomas Romano, Youth&Family Program Coordinator
