P <br /> Page 159 <br /> August 24, 1976 <br /> Mrs. Swanson suggested that the School Committee respond to the SCHOOL COMb,. <br /> suggestion in. the A. D. Little Report, that the School Committee meet MEETINGS <br /> every other week. It was also suggested that a deadline of 11:00 p.m. <br /> be established and meetings be in various school buildings. Meetings <br /> are to be scheduled with this understanding and the locations of the <br /> meetings will be arranged by the Superintendent. <br /> Mr. Brown said that he had received information on the portable PORTABLE TENN <br /> tennis court setups and suggested this might be an expenditure the COURTS <br /> school department would like to discuss with the recreation committee. <br /> He said it might be a good idea for reducing vandalism as well as meet- <br /> ing the needs of the community. <br /> It was <br /> VOTED: that Mrs. Patricia A. Swanson be appointed the voting member of MASC REPRESEN <br /> the Lexington School Committee at the fall meeting of the MASC. TIVE <br /> (Michelman, Brown, Unanimous) <br /> It was <br /> VOPaD: to go into Executive Session to discuss a matter pertaining to EXECUTIVE <br /> the character and reputation of an individual at 10:07 p.m. It SESSION <br /> was announced that the School Committee would be reconvening <br /> in public session afterwards; (Rotberg, Yes; Michelman, Yes; <br /> Brown, Yes; Swanson, Yes; Wadsworth, Yes) <br /> At 11:46 p.m. it was RETURN TO PUB <br /> SESSION <br /> VOTED: to return to open public session (Wadsworth, Brown, Unanimous) <br /> Dr. Lawson recommended that the salary of the last name on Page 215 SALARY SETTIN <br /> be established at the same level as last year, with the understanding <br /> that if the recommendation were accepted by the school cuunuittee the <br /> assignment would be at the 3rd grade level at Parker School. <br /> A motion was made on the Superintendent' s recommendation by Mr. <br /> Brown and seconded by Mr. Wadsworth. (Yes, Brown, Wadsworth, Michelman, <br /> Swanson, NO, Rotberg) <br /> Dr. Lawson announced that a letter would be mailed to parents of <br /> those students involved at the 3rd grade level at Parker School. The <br /> letter would announce the school committee assignment as well as an <br /> invitation for parents to meet with Dr. Lawson, Mr. Foley, and the <br /> teacher. <br /> It was <br /> VOTED: to adjourn at 11:50 p.m. (Wadsworth, Michelman, Unanimous) ADJOURNMENT <br /> Res ectfully submi ted, <br /> R'chard g� / s <br /> /k Recording ecretary <br />
