Mrs. Swanson agreed that this could be beneficial to all of us. Mr. Wadsworth's MOTION was not seconded. Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, it was (non-certificat Mrs. Friedman, the Max-Ed Coordinator, Mr. Johnson and. Mr. Wilson, were present to discuss the Max-Ed Program with the school committee. Mrs. Friedman said progress has been made to expand, activities to reach more students and. to involve students and teachers in different areas so their relationships would. improve. She reviewed the lists of activities which have been offered up to this date to the students. Mrs. Swanson suggested that the Citizens Advisory Committee for the ba; Fd Progra,.m be asked to visit Medford. and other communities to investigate how they are involved with the Max Ed Program. A visit to the State coordinator was also recommended. Mrs. Chapin, Chairman of the CAC, said she would. be willing to do this and report back to the school committee. Dr. Fobert and Mr. Johnson said they would suppor t this plan. The remainder of this discussion covered sophomore involvement in the Max Ed. program. Mr. Rotberg said the musicals at iuzzey have been discontinued for lack of funds. He asked Dr. Fobert to provide information on ;this matter. SC REPORTS The committee voted to go into Executive Session at 11:50 p.m. to discuss personnel matters.
