Voted that (in Consideration of the present advanced, <br />and increasing Pines of the Necssaries of Life) the <br />Sum of One Lundred and twenty Pounds to the Revd Mr <br />Clarke as a further Addition to his Stated Salary for <br />the present year <br />Toted that the Treasurer Borrow the Sum of E150 on <br />the Towns Credit and pay the same to the Revd Mr <br />-Clark; as soon as may be also Votd that the Treasurer <br />Give his Notes on behalf of the Town for the aforsaid <br />Sum of A150. - <br />Toted to Sell the whole of the Fire Arms assigned to <br />this Town by the State General Court, at Public <br />Vendue, Voted that the Treasurer Give his Notes on <br />behalf the Town for the Money Borrowed by the Towns <br />Committee in the Month of June to hire the fen required <br />of this Town, to reinforce the Army at Rhode Island. <br />Voted to Sell the Pines.as described in the Warrant <br />at Public Vendue. Voted that Messrs John Chandler <br />Capt Bridge & Matthew Mead, be a Committee to Let out <br />said Pines andconduct the fate of the same • <br />Voted that said Committee take effectual care, that <br />such other Wood as may be broke down by the falling <br />of said Pines, . be not , carri ed . off, by such Persons <br />as shall be purchasers of said Pines. <br />Voted that the purchasers of said Pines shall cut and <br />carry off ,said: Pines by the first Day of May 1779. <br />the Meeting then dissolved. <br />(3) <br />At a Meeting of Selectmen Hove= 23 1778. Granted an <br />Reed Order to pay Mr Isaac Reed 20. in full for his <br />allowd keeping School in the, Middle of the Town One Month <br />and Boarding himself at the same time - said 0rder <br />passed .to the Treasurer. <br />Orders At a Meeting of Selectmen Decemr. 14. 1778 Granted <br />Thos an Order to pay Mr. Thomas Hadley x,9..15.0 for <br />Racily Boarding his Son Saml Hadleys Child from -Sept. 9 <br />1778. to Decemr. 9, viz 13 Weeks a 15/ also allowed <br />said Hadley 153-16.0. for Sundry Articles in Cloathg <br />for said Child. <br />J Mason Also Granted an Order to pay Joseph Mason -111..0.0 <br />in full for keeping School One Month in the East <br />Yr Philip Qr.: of the Town. Also Granted an Order to Pay Mr. <br />Russelle Philip Russell x,17..8..3 in full for Supplying his <br />Son Amos Russells Famely with Sundry Articles in <br />_Provisions &c. and is allowed & Settled Agreeable <br />
