Matthew Bredge june, <br />Serail Cuttler, Daniel Tedd; and Joseph Underwood; <br />Ensign John Mason, Mr Joseih Brown, Thomas Kendel, <br />Samll Lock, Benjamin Smith, Sg george munroe, <br />Daniel Munroe Edward Winshipp, all Entered their <br />Dissents Dissents; against ye prsent meeting, because <br />there were sum in ye meeting yt voted, and <br />allowed so to do, yt hed no liberty of voteing, <br />as ye Law directs, upon which we all refused to <br />act, or .joyn in such a Choice. <br />At a metting of the Select men of Lexington March 2 1718/9 <br />They ordered the Clark to ishew out warrants to <br />ofeices the Consta to warne the persha Chosen to ofice <br />to be that day so to attend on friday folowing to be <br />warned Sworn to ther respective ofec s: But by reason <br />of sum hindrance it was not atended that day. <br />At a Meeting of the Select men march 13, 1718/9. the town <br />Clerk made oath to his ofice and So at. Sundry <br />Clerk other times the most of the ofers made oath to <br />Sworn ther respective ofoses the Select men being <br />present Each time as the law directs. <br />At a meetting of the Select men of Lexington May 4 1719 <br />then agreed with the Widow Poulter to Sweep the <br />meeting house for ye terme of one year the year <br />to begin on ye 17 May currant Date the 5 dura- <br />tion of the terme She shall have out of the <br />treasury of Sd Town <br />At a meet <br />Leiut <br />Munr oe <br />to ring <br />the bell <br />Likewise <br />town <br />mee <br />ting <br />(24) <br />ing of the Select men of Lexington May 4th 1719 <br />then they agreed with Leine. John Munroe to <br />Ring the bell So often as there was ocasion, <br />funerals Exepted) for the year inSuing and also <br />to keep the Eason & meeting house Roe Sd term <br />and to have for his Servic 1-15-00 out of the <br />towne treasury <br />ordered the clerk to isew out warrants to the <br />constable to warne the town to meet on may 14 <br />to chose a representative with other town <br />affairs, viz to grant money. • to defray town <br />charges and agree about a School &c - and to <br />-elow the constabl for warning meeting <br />
