At a Meeting (of the free holders & .oth er .Inhabitants of the town of Lexington may 14.1719 Legaly warned and meet together for ye Choice of a representative represent-& other town affairs, viz to grant money to Defray ative towne Charges & to consider & agree about a School Chosen then voted as foloweth, viz. (1) voted for & chose mr Thomas Bloggett to represent them at the great & general court for ye year ensuing- 2 voted and chose Benja Wellington Moderator 3 voted to have a Schaal kept in Sd Towne the whole Schoole year & to be a moveing School into the quarters Committe of the towne to be kept a quarter of a year at a ReR. time in a place also chose a Commitee of three men to take the whole care about Sd School viz (i) Benja. fuzzy Sen - (2.) insig Tohn Mason (3) .MLr Sarni Whitmore, Both as to ye agreeing with a School master and providing and appoint- ing the places where Sd School Shall be Kept in maner as above sd voted for Sc, granted Eighty pounds money for the separte of the Schoole and to defray other town charges for the year insuing to be made into a rate & delivered to the constabels so seasonably as for them to pay into the towne treasurey the one half by the first of December -next . insuing the Date hearof &theother halfe by the last of march next folowing 5 voted not to elowe the Constable any thing for warning town meting 4 80 pounds granted to Defray town charges At a meeting of the Select men of Lexington may 14 1719 stone then agreed with Loue Sohn Munroe to Gary Stones laid at & gravel to separt the under pinning at the ye meetingwesterly end of the meeting house hous At a meeting of the Select men of Lexington July 20: 1719 the Cammitte Chosen by the town to take the Care warrants for a town Meeting about Schools of the Schole applied them selves to the Select men to have the town caid together to consider whether it would not be most for the towns Beni- fitt to have the School kept the whole time at ye Schoole house or whethBr'they would be willing to be at further Charge to provide places in the quarter of the town; or som other way which might be then thought Best: upon which the Select men ordered the clark to isue out warrants to the Constable to warne the town tomeet on the 24 of august to consider about the Schoole as afore sd. At a meeting of the freeholders & other inhabitants of the School town of Lexington leagaly warned & meet to gether kept at upon the 24 day of august 1719 to Consider sum ye School thing further about the Schoole house 1 voted mr Joseph Fassett Moderator 2 voted that the School shall be kept the whole year at the Schoole house with Sd town At a meeting of the Select men of Lexington august 24 1719 then ordered the clark to pass a bill on. the town treasurer to pay Tonath Rusell Seven Shili.ngs being dew to him as part of his salery for being -Constable
