At a Meeting (of the free holders & .oth er .Inhabitants of the <br />town of Lexington may 14.1719 Legaly warned and <br />meet together for ye Choice of a representative <br />represent-& other town affairs, viz to grant money to Defray <br />ative towne Charges & to consider & agree about a School <br />Chosen then voted as foloweth, viz. (1) voted for & chose <br />mr Thomas Bloggett to represent them at the great <br />& general court for ye year ensuing- <br />2 voted and chose Benja Wellington Moderator <br />3 voted to have a Schaal kept in Sd Towne the whole <br />Schoole year & to be a moveing School into the quarters <br />Committe of the towne to be kept a quarter of a year at a <br />ReR. time in a place also chose a Commitee of three <br />men to take the whole care about Sd School viz <br />(i) Benja. fuzzy Sen - (2.) insig Tohn Mason <br />(3) .MLr Sarni Whitmore, Both as to ye agreeing <br />with a School master and providing and appoint- <br />ing the places where Sd School Shall be Kept in <br />maner as above sd <br />voted for Sc, granted Eighty pounds money for the <br />separte of the Schoole and to defray other town <br />charges for the year insuing to be made into a <br />rate & delivered to the constabels so seasonably <br />as for them to pay into the towne treasurey the one <br />half by the first of December -next . insuing the <br />Date hearof &theother halfe by the last of march <br />next folowing <br />5 voted not to elowe the Constable any thing for <br />warning town meting <br />4 <br />80 pounds <br />granted <br />to Defray <br />town <br />charges <br />At a meeting of the Select men of Lexington may 14 1719 <br />stone then agreed with Loue Sohn Munroe to Gary Stones <br />laid at & gravel to separt the under pinning at the <br />ye meetingwesterly end of the meeting house <br />hous <br />At a meeting of the Select men of Lexington July 20: 1719 <br />the Cammitte Chosen by the town to take the Care <br />warrants <br />for a <br />town <br />Meeting <br />about <br />Schools <br />of the Schole applied them selves to the Select <br />men to have the town caid together to consider <br />whether it would not be most for the towns Beni- <br />fitt to have the School kept the whole time at ye <br />Schoole house or whethBr'they would be willing <br />to be at further Charge to provide places in the <br />quarter of the town; or som other way which might <br />be then thought Best: upon which the Select men <br />ordered the clark to isue out warrants to the <br />Constable to warne the town tomeet on the 24 of <br />august to consider about the Schoole as afore sd. <br />At a meeting of the freeholders & other inhabitants of the <br />School town of Lexington leagaly warned & meet to gether <br />kept at upon the 24 day of august 1719 to Consider sum <br />ye School thing further about the Schoole <br />house 1 voted mr Joseph Fassett Moderator <br />2 voted that the School shall be kept the whole <br />year at the Schoole house with Sd town <br />At a meeting of the Select men of Lexington august 24 1719 <br />then ordered the clark to pass a bill on. the town <br />treasurer to pay Tonath Rusell Seven Shili.ngs <br />being dew to him as part of his salery for being <br />-Constable <br />
