2. Sustainability Discussion —Jon Himmel (PBC , Jill Hai(Board of Selectmen), Kate Colburn <br /> (School Committee) <br /> Jon gave an overview of the current draft of the Sustainability Policy. A Sustainability Procedure was <br /> mentioned as a document to be developed. <br /> Sustainability Design Revision 1 was discussed. It was suggested the ten items under"Section II <br /> Applications" be rearranged moving some of the content to the beginning of the section. <br /> The design selection process was discussed. <br /> The process was discussed. There was considerable discussion regarding the front end loading of <br /> engineering services into the very early stages of design to further enhance sustainability. It was <br /> observed that the sustainable objectives need to be firmly in place no later than the middle of the <br /> Design Development phase. The LEED Lexington Checklist was discuss; the checklist will serve not <br /> only the designers but also the people tasked with observing and managing the process. <br /> It was suggested that a Task by Phase by Discipline Matrix might be beneficial for explaining the <br /> activities involved.. <br /> Motion to adjourn was made and seconded: Meeting adjourned at 9:50pm. <br /> PBC Meeting 04.03.18 2 <br />
