PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />December 2, 1974 <br />' The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members L. Brown, MacKenzie, Costello, <br />planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in atten- <br />dance were John Davies, D.A.C., and Margaret Reynolds, Lexington Patriot. <br />Study of future school needs and school building renewal program pre- SCHOOL COMM. <br />pared by Drummey, Rosane and Anderson, subject of a meeting of the School NEEDS STUDY <br />Committee and other Town Boards on December 11, was noted and discussed <br />briefly. It was decided that no statement of Planning Board position on <br />the proposed program will be offered. <br />The minutes of Planning Board meeting of November 11, 1974, were <br />approved as written. MINUTES 11.11 <br />Mr. Costello reported on neighborhood petition, with 156 signatures, POSTAL SERV. <br />in opposition to current proposal of the Postal Services, to locate a BJA PROPOSAL <br />mail depot on Waltham Street. A meeting of the Planning Board with Post <br />Office officials and residents of the area will be scheduled following <br />P.O. application to the Board of Appeals regarding the proposal. <br />Request of Louis Stoico, Village Development Corp., for extension of <br />time on Lowell Estates 2 subdivision plan was reviewed. Upon a motion <br />duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: <br />To extend to December 10, 1974, inclusive, the time within which <br />the Planning Board must act on the definitive subdivision plan <br />entitled "Lowell Estates Section 2 in Lexington, Mass.", dated <br />June 27, 1974, as requested by Louis Stoico, applicant. <br />LOWELL EST.2 <br />EXTENSION <br />Request of Theodore L. Freeman, for extension of time on Bicentennial BICENTENNIAL <br />Farms subdivision plan was reviewed. Upon a motion duly made and FARMS <br />seconded, it was VOTED: EXTENSION <br />To extend to December 31, 1974, inclusive, the time within which <br />the Planning Board must act on the definitive subdivision plan <br />entitled "Bicentennial Farms in Lexington, Mass.", dated September 23, <br />1974, as requested by Theodore L. Freeman, applicant. <br />At 8 p.m., Ralph Hall met with the Board to discuss preliminary sketch RALPH HALL <br />of proposed development of land at the end of Dunham Street. Mr. Hall DUNHAM ST. <br />explained his proposal, which would include 3 contiguous parcels, and <br />told of need to fill on one lot. He will confer with the Conservation <br />Comm. on that matter. He was also advised by the Board to submit his <br />plan under Subdivision Control procedures, rather than application to the <br />Board of Appeals. Town Engineer will be consulted as to resolution of <br />drainage problems at the end of the accepted portion of Dunham Street, <br />which could affect adjacent Town -owned land. <br />Mr. MacKenzie's draft letter to the Selectmen containing Planning Bd. CABLE TV <br />' position on aspects of Cable TV installation, was read by the Chairman <br />and, following discussion, was approved as amended. <br />
