Mrs. Brown reported on her telephone <br />conversation with Roland Greeley, who urged accelerated progress <br />with Bicentennial planning. She suggested formation of an ad hoc <br />committee to formulate recommendations for answers to the questions <br />contained in the abovementioned memo. The subject matter in the <br />memo is to be discussed at a joint meeting of.the Selectmen and the AD HOC COMM. <br />Planning Board on Sept. 24. <br />Mr. Friedman, Conservation Commission, was asked to verbally request CAMPSITES CONS. <br />answers from the Commission as to legality of use of conservation LAND <br />land for temporary campsites. <br />Discussion with respect to Planning Board views on provision and PICNIC TABLES <br />possible lcoations of picnic tables continued. It was agreed by those <br />members present that the Board is in favor of picnic table provision, <br />including sanitary facilities. <br />Mr. Briggs was asked to obtain information on ruling re on -street TRAILER PARKING <br />parking of self-contained trailers. ON -STREET <br />' It was agreed that, although allowing parking of a single trailer on PRIVATE LAND <br />private land for a specified limited time may be recommended by the <br />Planning Board, permitting privately operated trailer parks, whether <br />on private or public land, is a matter for Town Meeting consideration. <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:15 p.m. <br />1 <br />Thomas F.
