1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />page 2 <br />2.12.72 <br />It was decided that, in view of the offer of stationery at no charge <br />to the Planning Board, only letterheads (blue ink printed) will be <br />purchased to be used with envelopes of the new design. The Planning <br />Director was authorized to approve this purchase. <br />The Planning Board met with the Board of Selectmen by appointment at <br />8:30 p.m. for the purpose of discussion and explanation of the <br />philosophy of the Wetland Protection Districts Article. A map <br />showing the .proposed areas designated for protection was shown and <br />Dr. Clarke explained need for wetland zoning and gave history of <br />Planning Board investigation of zoning of this type in other towns. <br />Articles 78 and 79 were reviewed and criteria used by Mr. Downe, who <br />prepared the maps, was discussed. Following questions by the <br />Selectmen which were answered by Mrs. Brown and Dr. Clarke, the Board <br />returned to its office & 9:15 p.m. <br />PL.BD. STATION- <br />ERY <br />WETLAND ART. <br />The Board considered the petition to the Board of Appeals of Gauthier/ BSA HEARING <br />Palis, Milliken Rd. (hearing 2/20/73) to maintain a dwelling on lot MILLIKEN RD. <br />58A with insufficient front yard and separation of lot 58B which <br />fronts on Pleasant St. Reference was made to an inquiry made in <br />fall '72 regarding Form A endorsement and Mrs. Brown's comments to the <br />proponent's Attorney at that time was read. Two residents of the <br />area were present and questioned the possibility of further sub- <br />division of the abovementioned land if Bd. of Appeals approval is <br />granted on this petition. Following further discussion of the <br />position of the Planning Board, Mrs. Brown agreed to draft a <br />letter of Planning Board recommendations for consideration of the <br />Board on Feb. 17. <br />Mr. Robert Mann was present during the discussion of content and <br />direction of Planning Board report on the St. Brigid rezoning pro- <br />posal. Mr. Mann answered questions concerning the preparation of a <br />legally binding instrument, subject to the rezoning, for the <br />conservation easement on the site. It was voted to instruct <br />Mr. Briggs to prepare a draft of a favorable Planning Board report <br />for adoption, revision or rejection by the Board. <br />ST. BRIGID <br />REZONING <br />The Board reviewed the information presented at the Wm. Hartery <br />public hearing on February 8, 1973. Following discussion, it was <br />HARTERY <br />agreed to authorize Mr. Briggs to draft a report basaton suggestions <br />REZONING <br />and recommendations of the members stating opposition to the rezoning <br />to CS of the Lincoln St./Marrett Rd. parcel. <br />The preliminary subdivision plan for land at Rte. 128/Hobbs Brook <br />Basin at the Waltham line, submitted by C-R Trust on Jan. 29, 1973, <br />CR TRUST <br />was reviewed. Mr. Briggs reported on his conference with the Waltham <br />SUBDIVISION <br />planning director regarding conditions for availability of water and <br />sewer lines from Waltham, dependent upon re -design of the intersection <br />of Tracer Lane and Trapelo Road by the developer. Planning Board <br />approval of the plan will be conditional. upon receipt of evidence from <br />the developer that these services will be provided by the city of <br />Waltham. Mr. Briggs will inform the developer of this decision. <br />It was decided that necessary revisions to the Town Wetland Protection <br />Map will be made at a Planning Board work session scheduled for <br />WETLAND MAP <br />REVISIONS <br />
