The public SHERBURNE RD. <br />street hearing will be held in the Bird Room, Cary Building, February 8 TO MARRETT RD. <br />at 7:15 p.m. <br />The Board noted the Conservation Commission's request for letters support- CONSERVATION <br />ing their proposed conservation land purchases and agreed to comply. The COMMISSION <br />Planning Director will prepare the letters. REQUEST <br />The Board reviewed the plans for Denny's Restaurant adjacent to the Chalet DENNY'S <br />Motor Lodge on Bedford St. and the proposed letter to the Board of Appeals RESTAURANT <br />with seven recommendations of conditions and limitations for the special B/A PERMIT <br />permit. Mr. Clarke expressed some reservations about insisting that the <br />Chalet be made to relocate the waterpipes just to comply with the law. <br />After discussion the Board agreed that the letter be signed as proposed. <br />The Board of Appeals decisions on January 26 hearings were noted as B/A <br />follows: DECISIONS <br />Smith - insufficient front yard - granted <br />Catalano - continue selling at 643 Waltham St. - granted <br />Mystic Valley Mental Health Assoc. - remodel barn - granted <br />Conroy - Professional Bldg. in RS district - granted <br />McSweeney Bros. Trust - redivide lots on Eaton Rd. - not granted <br />Wilson Farm - nursery to sell supplementary items - withdrawn <br />' Mrs. Brown, having attended the Board of Appeals' hearings, explained <br />that the withdrawal by Mr. Wilson of his petition was a result of the <br />way the Board of Appeals interpreted the Planning Board letter to the <br />Building Inspector as regards restrictions applying to special permit <br />uses. It was suggested that the meaning of the Planning Board's letter <br />should be clarified in a discussion with the Board of Appeals. Mrs. <br />Brown referred to the conditions imposed on the Conroy petition and <br />reported that the neighbors were coneerned with road -side parking and <br />the constant possibility of having their driveways blocked. <br />Mrs. Brown reported that she had driven through the area of the Edward WINCHESTER <br />Dr. subdivision in Winchester, subject of the Winchester Planning Board PUBLIC <br />hearing scheduled for February 1. There was no information on the HEARING <br />details to be covered at the hearing. <br />Also noted by the Planning Board were the following: INFORMATION <br />1. The changes in the Planning Board budget recommended by NOTED <br />the Town Manager reducing the amounts for professional <br />services and furniture. <br />2. The letter from the Selectmen asking the Planning Board <br />to advise them if any money will be required for Town <br />Meeting Articles. A meeting with the Selectmen has been <br />scheduled for February 8 to discuss this item and the <br />' Clarke St. parking lot. <br />3. The letter from Town Counsel with redrafts of Planning <br />Board Articles 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70 and 71. <br />
