It was understood that Mr. Nylander would <br />prepare a new scheme which he would discuss with Mr. <br />Snow before the revised Section 3 plan was submitted <br />to the Planning Board for its consideration. <br />Messrs. Moore and Nylander left the meeting <br />at 9:30 P.M. Mr. Stevens came to the meeting at the <br />same time. <br />Mr. Stevens ave to the Board a copy of Chap- <br />ter 6262 Acts of 1998, General Court of Massachusetts, <br />said chapter being entitled "An Act providing that <br />certain meetings of certain public boards and commis- <br />sions shall be open to the public." He pointed out <br />that the act was approved on Oct. 7, 1958 and the <br />effective date of the act would be January 5s 1959. He <br />recommended that the Planning Board study the act with <br />particular reference to Sections 1 and 4. He said <br />that he would in the meantime study the act himself <br />and advise the board of procedures to be followed when <br />meetings of the Planning Board become open to the <br />public. <br />Mr. Stevens left the meeting at 9:50 p.m. <br />Considered next by the Board were the notices <br />of petitions to be heard by the Board of Appeals on <br />November 4* 1958. With the exception of the Connelly <br />& Livingstone and Reiss petitions it was decided to <br />take no action on the petitions to be heard on said <br />date. After discussing the two petitions cited, Mr. <br />Snow was asked to prepare for the Board's considera- <br />tion drafts of letters to the Board of Appeals indi- <br />cating the Board's opposition to the granting of said <br />petitions and setting forth the reasons for said <br />opposition. <br />The Board continued its discussion of the <br />previous week (see minutes of October 20s 1958 <br />meeting) in regard to the Town Map which the firm of <br />Wright & Pierce had been preparing for the Board. Mr. <br />Snow was requested to write another letter to Mr. <br />Wright asking him to suggest a date when he would be <br />in the Boston vicinity and could meet with the Plan- <br />ning Board to discuss the work done on the map. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:45 p.m. <br />hard H.
