PLANNING BOARD MEETING October 27, 1958 A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was held in the Planning Board Office, Town Office Building, on Monday, October 27, 1958 at 7:45 p.m. Present were Chairman Grindle, Members Abbott, Burnell and Soule, and Planning Director Snow. Town Counsel Stevens was present from 9:30 until 9:50 p.m. The Board approved the following bills BILLS which had been presented for payment: H.B.McArdle, office supplies --$8.65s Terrence J. Boyle, pro- fessional services, Oct. 14 throu Oct. 20, 1958-- $14-501 Oct. 21 through Oct. 25--130.00. There was next held a general discussion of current problems being considered by the Board. Mr. Eugene Roberts of 77 Woodridge Road, Wayland, Mass. and Mr. Wilbur C. Nylander came to MIDDLE ' the meeting to discuss with the Board a prelimi- RIDGE nary subdivision plan of Middle Ridge, Section 3s SEC. 3 revised Jan. 3, 1957 and conditionally approved .by the Planning Board on February 11, 1957. (See Minutes of the Board's meeting of said date.) Mr. Roberts gave to the Board for its information a print of the above plan showing all the land he had purchased from Techbuilt, Inc. He also showed the Board a modified scheme for developing the proposed Section Three of the development. It was the opin- ion of the Board that this modified scheme eliminating a road located in the center of the proposed section was an improvement of the original proposal. He requested the Board►s informal opinion as to whether it would consider the extension of Turning Mill Road in a northwesterly direction to provide for a minimum construction of 13 lots fronting on said road. The Board raised the question of how the drainage of said road would be taken care of without extending the drain system northerly all the way to the Middle Ridge Section 2 subdivision. The Board explained its policy of not extending dead end streets beyond a length of 500 feet until such time as a second means of access is provided for a subdivision. ' Mr. Roberts was advised that the Board would take the plans under consideration and notify him of its deci- sion in regard to his request.
