HANCOCK <br />At 8:00 p.m. the Board held a public hearing on <br />HEIGHTS <br />the application of Moore Realty Trust for approval of <br />SFC. 1 <br />a modification of a portion of its subdivision plan <br />, <br />- <br />entitled "Hancock Heights, Lexington, Mass.", elimi- <br />HEARING <br />nating as a way a portion of Linmoor Terrace extend- <br />ing northerly from Station 4 + 16.86 situated just <br />north of Lots C and G. Mr. Mark Moore, Jr., the <br />petitioner, and Mr. Richard Hofheimer attended the <br />hearing. Chairman Grindle opened the hearing by <br />reading the notice of the same as it was mailed to <br />all abutting property owners and as it was advertised <br />in the September 19, 1957 issue of the Lexington <br />Minute -man. He then explained the procedure to be <br />followed in conducting the hearing and called upon <br />the applicant to present his plan. <br />Mr. Moore, representing the Moore Realtv Trust, <br />explained that the proposed modification was to <br />eliminate a portion of Linmoor Terrace which was to <br />be relocated as part of the proposed second section <br />of the Hancock Heights development. Mr. Grindle asked <br />if there were any questions or comments. There being <br />none, he declared the hearing closed at 8:05 p.m. <br />HANCOCK <br />At 8:15 p.m. the Board held a public hearing on <br />HEIGHTS <br />the application of Moore Realty Trust for approval of <br />SEC. 2 <br />a definitive subdivision plan known as "Hancock <br />' <br />Heights Section Two Lexington, Mass.", and more par - <br />HEARING <br />ticularly described as follows: an extension of <br />Crawford Road in a southerly direction for a distance <br />of approximately 49 feet and an extension of Linmoor <br />Terrace in northerly and westerly directions for a <br />distance of approximately 731 feet. Present at the <br />hearing were Mark Moore, Jr., representing the peti- <br />tioner, Mr. Richard Hofheimer, 15 Ballard Terrace; <br />Mrs. Ruth Morey, 90 North Hancock Street; and Mr. <br />Raymond W. James, 66 Blake Road. Chairman Grindle <br />read the notice of the hearing as it was sent to all <br />property owners abutting on the proposed subdivision <br />and as it was published in the September 19, 195 7 issue <br />of the Lexington Minute -man, said notice being the <br />second half of the one previously read in connection <br />with the proposal to modify the first section of the <br />Hancock Heights development. <br />When the applicant was called upon to present <br />his plan, Mr. Moore explained various details of the <br />proposal. Mr. James then expressed concern about the <br />possible increase of traffic at the Crawford -Preston <br />Road intersection, this being brought about by connect- <br />ing Linmoor Terrace with Crawford Road. He called to <br />the Board's attention the alignment and steep grades ' <br />on Preston Road in the vicinity of Crawford Road. It <br />was the general feeling of the Planning Board that <br />
