He stated that he be- <br />lieved that the Town cannot buy this land on $10,000 <br />a year terms for six years without approval from the <br />State Legislature, but that it would be possible to <br />buy $102000 worth of property each year. <br />HAWTHORNE Mr. Spagnuola of Esco Builders, Inc. arrived <br />ACRES at 8:25 P.M. The Board then considered the names of <br />SEC. 1 streets within Hawthorne Acres, Section One subdivi- <br />sion. In accordance with the suggestions of the Fire <br />and Police Departments and the Planning Board's desire <br />to avoid long or similar sounding street names, it <br />was agreed that the names submitted by Esco Builders <br />be changed as follows: <br />Sedgebrook Road to Sedge Road <br />Brentwood Road to Brent Road <br />Fairhaven Road to Hathaway Road <br />The Board then endorsed the plan and gave it to Mr. ' <br />Stevens for recording. Stevens and Spagnuola left the meet - <br />REZONING ing at 8:45 at which time the Board considered the <br />PROPOSAL Johnson proposal discussed qt its previous meeting, <br />and decided that it would not sponsor a zoning change <br />from R 1 to C 2 use for the expansion of the A & P <br />store and parking facilities on the property numbered <br />25 Bedford Street, Chairman Grindle to notify Mr. <br />Johnson by telephone of the Board's decision. <br />ASSOCIATES Read to the Board was a letter dated August 26, <br />REALTY 1957 from Mr. Irwin, Town Building Inspector, regard - <br />TRUST ing the proposed hotel plans stating that the plans <br />for the proposed hotel met the requirements of the <br />town building by-laws with the exception of adequate <br />ventilating and lighting in the hotel bathrooms. It <br />was decided to send a copy of the letter indicating <br />these minor changes to be made to Mr. Manaselian, <br />architect for the Trust. <br />
