PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />' May 20a 1957 <br />A regular meeting of the Planning Board was <br />held in the Town Engineer's Room* Town Office Build- <br />ing, on Monday* May 20a 1957 at 7:30 p.m. Present <br />were Chairman Grindle* Members Burnell* Jaquith and <br />Soule; Planning Director Snow and Mr. Howlett of the <br />Staff. <br />The minutes of the meetings of April 22 and <br />MINUTES <br />May 6* 1957 were approved. <br />Also approved were the following bills sub- <br />accompanying said <br />mitted for payment: Spaulding -Moses drafting sup- <br />BILIS <br />plies -43.45; Bruce E. Howlett*rofessional services <br />of Planning Board <br />for period ending May 20* 1957--97.00. <br />The following.Form A application was taken <br />Subdivision <br />under consideration: <br />FORM A <br />#57-49a submitted May 16a 1957 by Frank M. <br />HODGDON <br />Hodgdona plan entitled "A Compiled Plan of <br />After the vote <br />Land in Lexington -Mass."* Scale: 1" = 601* <br />dated Apr. 6a 1957* Miller and Nylander* C. <br />was read to the <br />E.'s & Surveyors. <br />Board* approved by it <br />Accompanying the application was a letter from <br />Mr. Hodgdon dated May 16* 1957 in which it was stated <br />that he felt that the Board was obliged.by law to <br />sign the plan and if it did not do so every member of <br />the Planning Board would be faced with a lawsuit. Mr. <br />Snow stated that he had discussed with Mr. Stevens <br />the subdivision plan and the letter together with Mr. <br />Hodgdon's deed to his property. There appeared to be <br />no change in the facts presented previously in regard <br />to this and similar applications except, it was <br />pointed out* that in addition to the plan being a sub- <br />divisions Mr. Hodgdon apparently had no rights over <br />the land now or formerly owned by the Commonwealth of <br />Massachusetts* Magnuson, and others. <br />It was moved$ <br />seconded and unanimously <br />VOTED: that the plan <br />accompanying said <br />application for <br />determination <br />of Planning Board <br />jurisdiction <br />does require approval under the <br />Subdivision <br />Control Law. <br />After the vote <br />was taken* there <br />was read to the <br />Board* approved by it <br />and signed by the <br />Chairman, a <br />
