PLANNING BOARD MEETING ' May 20a 1957 A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held in the Town Engineer's Room* Town Office Build- ing, on Monday* May 20a 1957 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Chairman Grindle* Members Burnell* Jaquith and Soule; Planning Director Snow and Mr. Howlett of the Staff. The minutes of the meetings of April 22 and MINUTES May 6* 1957 were approved. Also approved were the following bills sub- accompanying said mitted for payment: Spaulding -Moses drafting sup- BILIS plies -43.45; Bruce E. Howlett*rofessional services of Planning Board for period ending May 20* 1957--97.00. The following.Form A application was taken Subdivision under consideration: FORM A #57-49a submitted May 16a 1957 by Frank M. HODGDON Hodgdona plan entitled "A Compiled Plan of After the vote Land in Lexington -Mass."* Scale: 1" = 601* dated Apr. 6a 1957* Miller and Nylander* C. was read to the E.'s & Surveyors. Board* approved by it Accompanying the application was a letter from Mr. Hodgdon dated May 16* 1957 in which it was stated that he felt that the Board was obliged.by law to sign the plan and if it did not do so every member of the Planning Board would be faced with a lawsuit. Mr. Snow stated that he had discussed with Mr. Stevens the subdivision plan and the letter together with Mr. Hodgdon's deed to his property. There appeared to be no change in the facts presented previously in regard to this and similar applications except, it was pointed out* that in addition to the plan being a sub- divisions Mr. Hodgdon apparently had no rights over the land now or formerly owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts* Magnuson, and others. It was moved$ seconded and unanimously VOTED: that the plan accompanying said application for determination of Planning Board jurisdiction does require approval under the Subdivision Control Law.
