would like to build at triangle of Weston St. and Concord Pike. He wished <br />' <br />the Board's opinion as to the best way of handling, rezoning whether by g or <br />Board of Appeals. Both methods of handling were explained. A1tho the Board <br />did not give Mr: Anderson any encouragement, they gave it as their informal <br />opinion that it would be a large sum of money to invest on a yearly basis, <br />and that probably rezoning would be the best solution. <br />Graham <br />Discussion was held on the hearing to be held by the Board of <br />Appeals on Thursday next on petition of William Graham Jr. for a funeral <br />parlor -in the existing building at 1508 Massachusetts avenue. Mr- GriXLdle <br />moved, Mr. Hathaway seconded and it was <br />VOTEDs That a letter be written by -.Mr. Jaquith to the Board o:f Appeals <br />stating that 'The Planning Board.is opposed to the granting of <br />s uch permission on the grounds that the Board ofothe <br />has <br />not the authority to grant under Section 5 (a) 7 - <br />Cf Appeals <br />Zoning By-law. Also the granting of permission of a funeral <br />home at.this-location would create serious traffic problems <br />and hazards to school children. Furtherr=G, the Zoning Law <br />now permits funeral homes in C-1 districts subject to Board <br />of Appeals approval and in C-2 districts without Board -of <br />Appeals permission.' <br />Mr. Aiden Ripley was not present at the meeting in which this discussion was <br />held.
