AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY <br /> LEXINGTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING <br /> DATE: PRESENTER: ITEM NUMBER: <br /> September 23,2013 Carl F.Valente I.10 <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Approve Grant Agreement for Historical Society Preservation of Records Project <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: <br /> This project with the Historical Society,to preserve historical records,has been funded through <br /> the Community`Preservation Act. Some of the records being preserved,however,are awned by <br /> the First Parish Church,but held by the Historical Society. <br /> This agreement clarifies that the First Parish Church documents: <br /> • will be provided to the Town in digital format,; <br /> • that if the Historical Society is no longer able to hold these documents that they will be <br /> held directly by the Church, and <br /> • that if the Church transfers ownership of the documents to an entity other than the Town <br /> or Historical Society that the Historical Society will reimburse the Town the$1 Q,13 8'in <br /> preservation costs. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br /> $10,138 in CPA funds. <br /> RECOMMENDATION 1 SUGGESTED MOTION: <br /> Move to approve and sign the Amendment to the Grant Agreement for Historical Records <br /> Preservation between the Town and the Lexington Historical Society. <br /> STAFF FOLLOW-UP: <br /> TMO will process grant document <br /> Prepared by cfv <br />
