157 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARING <br />Dr.Charles T.Mooney <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's <br />Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on February 4, 1958. Chairman <br />Nickerson, Messrs. Ripley, Redman, Ballard and Norris were present. <br />The clerk was also present. <br />At 8:.55 p.m., hearing was declared open upon the petition of Dr. <br />Charles T. Mooney for permission to occupy the proposed addition to <br />existing building, 1145 Mass. Ave., Lexington, as a physician's office. <br />Notice of the hearing was read by Mr. Nickerson. Notices of this <br />hearing had been mailed to the owners of all property deemed by the <br />Board to be affected thereby as they appear on the most recent local tau <br />list. <br />Mr. Nickerson asked Dr. Mooney if he had submitted drawings of <br />what he wished to do. <br />Dr. Mooney explained the plans he had submitted to Mr. Nickerson <br />and the rest of the Board. <br />Mr. Nickerson asked if the construction would be consistent with <br />that of the present building. <br />Dr. Mooney replied that it would. <br />Mr. Nickerson referred to the plans and stated that the addition <br />would be a one story addition 10'3" x 25' and narrowing to 516" at the <br />back to preserve the 10' side yard. He asked if the 10' side yard would <br />be preserved. <br />Mr. Farfaras, the builder, answered that Dr. Mooney would have the <br />required 10' side yard and explained using plans. <br />Mr. Nickerson asked if there would be a request for another sign. <br />He stated that there was one sign now. <br />Dr. Mooney said he had one sign on the lawn and there was no re- <br />quest for further signs. <br />Mr. Nickerson asked that the office hours were. <br />Dr. Mooney said his office hours were 2-4 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. 5 days a <br />week except Tuesdays and Saturdays when they were 2-4 p.m. only. <br />Mr. Nickerson asked Dr. Mooney if he calculated that this addition <br />would attract additional patients to his office. <br />Dr. Mooney said he didn't necessarily think so. He explained that now <br />he was able to see only one patient at a time, but with the new addition he <br />could see three patients at once. He explained by pointing out on the plans <br />
