BQARu OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />March 3, 1950 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's.. <br />Room, Tarn Office Building, on March 3, 1950. Chairman Locke, <br />Messrs. Ripley, Houdlette, Ballard, and Worthen, Jr., were present. <br />The clerk was also present. <br />At 8:07 p.m. the followih g hearings were declared open: <br />Henry E. Gamester for permission to erect at 23 Spencer St., <br />Lexington, a dent block building to consist of a two -car garage <br />with a storage room in the rear for building materials and equipmen{. <br />Robert F. Esty for permission to build a single-family dwelling <br />with attached garage on Lots 69, 70, and 71 Henderson Road with att4ched <br />garage, said lots having a total frontage of 90 feet and a combined` <br />area of approximately 9990 square feet. <br />Robert W. Custance for Custance Brothers, Inc., for permission <br />to erect a 40 x 30 foot building of first-class construction to be <br />used for the storage of equipment. <br />In executive session the following decisions were reached: <br />Henry E. Gamester - because of a typographical error this <br />petition had to be readvertised and acted upon at a later date. <br />Robert F. $sty - Granted <br />Robert W. Custance - Granted <br />The Board considered a letter from Mr. Ernest A. Lindstrom, <br />Building Inspector which read as follows: <br />Board of Appeals. March 3, 1950 <br />Lexington, Mass. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Referring to Article 21, Section 1, second paragraph of the <br />Building By-laws, I wish to submit the following: <br />Mr. Harvey Newgent has requested the use of Steeltex to be applied <br />directly to the studs in place of applying same to the outside boarding <br />for the proposed houses to be erected on Wood Street. <br />Attached is the data which I have received from the manufactur$r <br />regarding tests which shows this method of construction far superior!as <br />to strength and durability. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />E.
